Who has insurance on there sleds?

mine ended up at toysalvage.com here in mn. look at my profile picture. the polaris was driven by 12 year old with no insurance, he was at fault. the sled was registered in his dads name. my insurance company will go after him for close to $50,000. if you look at it that way insurance is cheap

Im in Alberta and for my 08 dragon for a year is almost $1200 for full to the nines coverage. And it is for replacement value not what they asses it was worth so if I get a brand new one no questions asked if something (anythig at all) were to happen. Deductible is $500 but agent said they rarely have repairs done they just buy you a new one. Expensive but I can be stupid and not worry about anything except for hurting myself.

Who is with progressive? I believe that is who USAA will try to go through for me. I could insure my Fiance's sled but its just an 02 rmk 700. If I went with the boat it will be winter for 6 months and I dont think its going to get totaled in storage. I will have to call and ask about rates.

If anyone filed a claim on there insurance, can you please chime in on what happened to your rate!

Thanks again,

Cheyne
my X hit a tree in 2003 on her 2000 800 rmk, statefarm paid me 3600 for the repairs(took off the whole frt end ripped the motor off the mounts)(was the medium bid of 3) So I fixed it myself ..they never raised our rates at all...

I am using mountainwest insurance in craig
My premium for a year is about $350 but that is for pretty high coverage and also personal injury with a $500 deductable
I have bought back all my totaled sleds for between 500 and 1000
Insurance is well worth it

Been with allied for a while. Kind of expensive, but if you get into a head on with someone and they sue you at least you will have insurance. Or if you roll down the hill and you sled catches fire.

i would stupid not to have it with the liability. say if you hit someone they will own your house for sure.

Yep, that's the biggest reason in my opinion. I've always insured mine with at least liability. Accidents happen and insurance companies will go after anyone involved so that they don't have to pay. Someone hits you or you get tangled up on a trail and things could get dicey quick.

for about 600 a year I've got both skidoos covered. 04 8 and 06 1k. Liability and comprehensive as well as medical for me and any passengers on the back just in case. I spent over 1800 to fix one of my sleds last year uninsured so now I have insurance. 120 a yr sounds like Liability only.

I have 09 800 x, 05 600 sdi renegade, 2 03 700 polaris', and it cost 600 a year for full coverage. I have had a few claims and my rates have not gone up at all, also I have kept the salvage on the sleds that I have totaled. My insurance is through progressive and it is stupid not to have insurance.
