Who has had a Rail Break.

I have the same sled with the same marks I went up to 75 on setting 2 and it seems to have stopped. I’m also elevated so that factors in some how. I have marks on the top of the rear pivot bracket that some people have broke from my track clips hitting it.

I also am at approx 75# front track shock pressure and no issues, I believe I'm at 130# rear. It appears if your rear arm hits the bump stop you'll crack that thin glued on rail cap at the back..... :cautious:

This is on a 2020 MC 165. FTS is at 58 PSi. Manual says don't go over 60?
I have exact same mark on mine too.... Bumped my shock pressure up to 65 and run on #2 setting going up and down trail from hills, #1 once I get to riding destinations.

I’m switching my front track shock out for a Zbroz front track shock that is valved and sprung for my weight

On my new rail with the front track shock at 75# It was still hitting the limiter strap bolt up top. So I upped it now to about 85#. Same spot as ullose posted there,

I don't have an Alpha (yet) but, it sure looks like there should be a 1/2" rubber bumper installed in that spot on top of the Alpha rails at the very least. The problem is, once you get that ding in the surface coating and it pierces that metal rail, you lose your protective coating and create a weak spot that is much more prone to breaking in the future. The shock design and pressures certainly need to be dealt with but in the meantime I'd work on keeping that rail from getting gouged in the first place.

Mine on the first ride. Looking like the track clips are grinding away at the tip. Shock almost cranked right up and that’s how it came. Guessing a new spring is needed. Of course cat won’t do anything.

How tight is your track?

I was running i think 1/4", whatever zbroz recomends. I have since added a couple turns to the fts and 4 to the rts

Anyone have any ideas on fixing the rear scissor link tiny bolts? Had one that snapped off flush tried to use a easy out to no avail-and don't wast to drill further ..bolt is really in there -looks like it over-tightened its self .. Mag side rear scissor link bolt.... Last ditch effort Heli Coil?

Heard there is a Canadian fix with a through bolt ending this nightmare .

There are people doing a through bolt, i did ARP bolts and have 200 miles on mine with no issue. I look at it all the time too making sure its not backing off

Drill it through if you don't have warranty and run a long bolt and be done with it.

Drill it through if you don't have warranty and run a long bolt and be done with it.

If that is done would you not want some type of bushing on the O.D. of the bolt going through the rail? It will wear on the bolt and wallow it's self out. it's on a 19 so warranty is out.

ARP will go back in once I find a fix- just reaching out for those that have had the same issue. Did you do a through bolt? or just replace the stock ones before any break.?
