I have a side by side its a 91 gmc pickup. I can take it through the trees with the windows up and the ac on mosquito free then drive into town and get groceries without a sunburn while listening to the radio. I could probably buy a fleet of em for the price of one of those too!

Have used a john deere 850I the last few years for hunting. I don't know if all of the 850's do this but when we hit about 8000ft it falls on its face. Brother has taken it to dealer, says its fixed but every hunting season is the same. I have an 800 RZR but am wanting a 900 ranger.

I ended up getting the RSX.
I don't use it hard enough to find its limitations, so I do appreciate others sharing their experiences.

So far, my only complaint is the speed limiting out at 54.
Taller tires will help that w/o messing w/rev limiter.

Power wise, it is by no means a Commander, but nothing is unless going to a sportier chassis.

What about a Commander 1000 vs the ranger 900? I need the utility sxs so I don't want to go rzr but still would like something sporty for cruising back roads and maybe the dunes once a year. The commander seems sportier then the Ranger but the reliability makes me wonder about them.

Scroll up a little and read what I wrote about our Can Am Commander 1000. It's kind of a hybrid between the Ranger and RZR/Maverick. Ours has 85 HP, not sure what the Ranger 900 has.
