like they say if you are looking for one many of these are less than they would cost to build it yourself, just not the same if you ask me, kind of a cop out i think?
Cool cars definatly, but, I think building the car is more of the experience, for me anyways! I love saying what a hard time I had getting all the nasty, rusted bolts out of mine! But, never the less, cool cars.
they interviewed one of the professional restorers and he said it is much cheaper to buy one already done than to build it yourself unless the car has special meaning to you---I am finding it to be true---am rebuilding my 68 camaro SS I bought new in 68---it has special meaning to me so the cost of the restoration isn't so important...
It is so fun to see all the cars that have made it to the auction tho and to see how much work and how much attention to detail the builders have done---I watch most every hour of the auction ....snowdog

dude, im set up this year down here in AZ. i got barrett jackson going on this week, and i might go down to see this weekend. i got the super bowl parties to hit up soon, as well as the phoenix open the same weekend as the superbowl! will i survive? i do not know.
I watched last night. Wish I was down there with some cash!
Ya there is a lot of neat cars out there. Its nice to watch that and dream a little

And yes it is nice to dream!!!! My wife and I have decided that someday if at all possible we are going to get some sort of hot rod. She wants a Chevelle(her dads car) and I am undecided, so many to choose from.

I've kind of tired of it in a way. It's on right now downstairs but I came upstairs to be on snowest instead.
I think it's been played to death in a way. Speed channel is great but they have a reputation of doing that sort of thing. (i.e. Nascar coverage, Unique Whips and so on)

If we got those prices for the cars in our collection we'd be millionaires. Those prices are so inflated.

ummmmm... if these cars(your collection) are equal to the cars there, then just a thought, you could sell em for the same value they are selling @ BJ. Just because its a car from ND doesnt make it a lesser value @ Barrett Jackson.....
Its kind of like me. When I sell a mod sled, I have built, I dont advertise it in the local paper. It goes on SW or somewhere I will get paid the most I can get. Then if I have to, I make shipping arrangements....
all the top $ cars are selling on sat ,carols shelby, the duecy, the hemi converts, etc,if you watch it now, its the more average cars, and the place is about a 3rd full, because the real buyers all come out for the cream of the crop,[sat].its unreal what they are paying for some of these cars.i still enjoy watching it on tv though.
