Who better than Chris Burandt?

We have a WINNER. Priest Lake RMK has now been crowded "The Master of the Mountain Domain!" :face-icon-small-hap

The Crazy Canadian is amazing. I haven't seen him do much boondocking, but he'll climb anything!

I think chris is in a class of his own but Brett is smooth I dont think he makes mistakes every line is perfect.

What gets me about watching Burandt is how he is able to keep going. I think to myself that I would have buried it. Lets see if he can pull of the same maneuvers on a Polaris. I will say that most of that looks sketchy on the video I can guarantee in person that's its twice as gnarly where he is sidehilling.

Chris is most likely the best Boondocking rider today, and it is definitely not the fact he ha a high HP sled with all the cool sh*t on it, were that the case I would be getting paid to ride everyday. Ask anyone who has actually ridden with him and they will attest to the fact that he puts his sled in and out of places that most of us would not even consider and when I have tried to pull those lines I end up doing a lot of digging myself out. He can flat ride and if you think you can hang, set up a day with him to ride and see what you are made of.

I talked to a guy who rode with him and asked how good he was. All the guy I talked with said was yep he's pretty good, but alot of times when he'd stop to wait for the group, I was right there behind him.

Not saying Chris can't flat out ride, but until there is an X-Games of boondocking, we can never say who is the best.

I beg to differ. Burandt is good but The Crazy Canadian Dan Davidoff is the best I have ever seen PERIOD. That guy is just plain sick. The stuff he does literally makes my jaw drop to watch.

Your right, i'd rank Dan Davidoff right up there with Randy Swenson and Brad Story as best hillclimbers but thats a bit of a different skill set than Burandt and Rasmussen have. All great riders in there respective terrain but i think Randy Swenson or Burandt is the craziest to watch.

I hear that Priest Lake RMK guy is one of the best riders ever. I don't allow film crews so no footage, sorry fans.

I heard that guy was taking his couch to places never dreamed of before this winter.

I also hear that some guy called X pretty much sucks like none other at riding.

Davidoff is a great hillclimber, but I don't think he is can handle a sled like Burant can.

Like it was stated already, I think Brett is just as good or better, and it sounds like Burant learned a lot from Brett, or a least he said so in the video Schooled.

Then there are the jumpers, I don't know names, as that's not my thing, but they are pretty incredible too.

Then the snocrossers.....and so on.

Overall, I'd say Burant is one of the best all around sledders, from what I have seen.

I also believe there are a lot of guys out there that are about as good but just do their thing with their buddies, and don't get the recognition.

Better? I guess that depends on the discipline, but Dane Ferguson is pretty good. This clip doesn't showcase his boondocking skills because it was filmed in May and the snow was pretty set up.

This clip is a compilation from 3 different seasons, and in some of the segments he's riding with a broken leg.

Chris and Dane are awesome riders. I suppose that's why they're "team mates"

I think people should only chime in if you've ridden with burandt or rasmussen to really know how god damn good they are! i rode with rasmussen a month ago and he is better in real life than any video i've seen of him. He definately does NOT need a turbo sled to ride good. The first day he rode a stock m8 and did things i couldn't believe. I thought i was an above average rider and he made me look absolutely silly and he wasn't even trying! These guys are absolutely incredible in real life. If you put chris and bret together and they were pushing themselves in the backcountry, nobody would hang unless they wanted them to.

I've ridden with both Brett and Chris. I would not want to state which one is better. They both push themselves past their skill level every ride. ( I know cause I've dug them both out of some tough sticks )

I ride with a few guys who if not better, are just as talented as both these guys. Not taking anything away from either one. I don't have video and would not post it if I had it. The best riders I have ever seen would not ride for a camera, and have no desire to try to prove anything to anyone.

The best boon docker I have ever witnessed ride was on a T-Apex and I don't have to prove it to anyone because I've seen it with my own eye's.

I can tell you this, neither Brett nor Chris would fall from the top if riding a stock Apex, and if Yamaha was willing to pay the money (which they never will ) either of them could prove it.

They both are better then me! That suck's but I will get over it. I would also have to say that Bill Whittle from Cooke City Antler's Lodge is pretty damn good. that guy can sidehill like a fricken "billly goat". Just my 2 cent's.:face-icon-small-hap

He spend's more time in the air then on the ground. Cool but jumpin is just not my thing.
