Who’s switching to doo this year?

^ That's a good point. I haven't looked, but I'm not sure you'd have the option to pick and choose though: Doo's preorders might be closed by the time Poo unveils their '23s. So maybe the people thinking of jumping had to already. If you're set on a turbo, I doubt you'd miss out on much if you jumped on the new Doo turbo, but if you're on the fence or going with NA for sure, then I'd think you'd want to see what the story is on the new engine.

I hadn't heard any chatter about '22 NA 850s going down, but I mostly get my news on that here, plus the handful of people I know who ride an 850 (only one or two '22s there). One of the big problems when the 850 came out was improper assembly blocking an oil line, but that was cleared up pretty quickly, and I thought they added a bearing retainer and made a few other changes for '20. I haven't seen or heard of any P85 clutch issues cropping up either, just the P22, but I could have missed it.

So this thread would be more relevent after the Polaris and Cat reveals, so guys then could compare with what Doo is offering and what the other 2 may come up with this year. If you are absolutely blown away with the G5 then you won't even be watching the other 2023 reveals and you were likely going to buy a Doo anyway. Who knows, your reasoning for changing might simply be that you got bad service from a dealer this year and the Doo dealer is looking better now? Or you might have said to yourself, "I would buy one only if they could make it look like a Ninja Turtle"?
Its pretty safe to say the 2023 Patriot Boost will be no different than the 2022… if I were buying and liked the Doo I wouldn’t be holding my breath.

I started riding 10 years ago and have always been on a Ski Doo. I have a 2022 Freeride and did seriously consider a Polaris, I have spent a lot of time on a Poo and personally don't find them much different. My deal was I know exactly how I like the ski doo setup and I pretty much change everything in the skid. I would with a Poo also. I want a 2nd sled next year and will prob go Poo just to have both.

Most people who ride my sled don't like it. It is setup very stiff.

I'm in a similar situation. Bought the First Doo I've ever owned last year (21' Freeride Turbo) rode it stock last season. This year it got a Raptor Kinetic suspension with coilover conversion & Tmotion lockout...as well as a stage 2 tune. Sled is a beast!

With that said I think I may snow check a Boost for a second sled, something to get my other son out on. Seems like it would be more exciting to own one of each brand than getting another Doo. We'll see in a couple hours when the new sleds drop.

Cat still makes sleds? Not bad service from a dealer poor quality control from Polaris look at all this issues from motors to wire harnesses. In guys that I ride with 2022 650 motor locked up. 1 2022 850 crank bearing another 2022 harness melted. Not much faith in this camp at this time. I like Polaris it’s assembled in Minnesota so some of my money stays here. I don’t care what I ride just don’t want to work on it every time I use it or take it in for warranty work.

Wife is showing interest, kids as well, so want to strike while that iron is hot. Price alone might be what sways me over to Doo.. a 650 RMK with PIDD msrp is $18,500 cdn??

Most of sleds get setup on the stiff side also I like the suspension to take the hit of a big hole and not me I very rarely bottom out my suspension because of this. Guys that ride my sled say it rides like a lumber wagon.

I have Fox air in my skid. Main chambers are like 160 and evolv is 210 lol

Been on Polaris since 2012... Just snowchecked a Doo. Came down to price, shot, and how perfectly the Etec runs.
Definitely can't argue with that if you like riding the Doo as much. Hard to match up models, but seems like MSRPs are about $1000 cheaper for Doos. That said, we'll have to wait and see where prices actually fall. As MSRPs keep going up, it seems less and less likely that my next sled is something new. I don't need a turbo or 900; I'd be perfectly happy with 150HP, old-school clutch and drive setup, basic (but rebuildable) shocks, and so on - if they could keep it around $12k. I'd love a Matryx Khaos Slash 9R (well, except the mouthful telling people what I ride), but with my budget, I know I wouldn't love it $10k more. I heard some rumbling that Doo is discontinuing the 600R and coming out with a slightly bigger, more powerful version; if that were true and they undercut the closest Poo significantly, I'd consider it. Would have to ride one first though, ideally back-to-back with a Matryx.

Msrp is kinda misleading spec out a turbo to turbo and it’s closer to 4500$
I don't care what the price difference is between the looks and how front heavy a Doo is I'll still buy the poo. Unless the gen 5 rides different, but nobody but Doo paid riders know that.

That’s great for you. They all we be sold. I have a feeling next year at this time we will singing a different tune if energy doesn’t come back down the sled are pretty equal just need to learn to ride them different.

I could be crazy buy I swear Poo's pricing came down $1200 or so from what I was seeing yesterday?

165 Khaos Boost was over 24k yesterday when I looked, can't get it there now.
