Who’s switching to doo this year?

I was going to switch from Arctic Cat to Doo until I saw them and decided on Polaris. You can say all you want about performance of the Doo's. Still like riding a moped through town with a fat chick on the back telling your friends at least your getting some. But hey that fits their slogan "Ski Doo- Fun for All" so go get you sum.

Atleast it will get you reliably thru town and instead of snuggling with your other stranded poo bf to stay warm, you have your nice warm fat chick that made you dinner and brought you a beer.

Not a chance in H-E-double hockey sticks!!

That is one FUGLY ole sled.

LOVE the Khaos slash 165.

Now you done it. She may look docile at 5ft nothing but this little Filipina Former Marine would use a spoon and cut chunks out of you like a bucket of rocky road ice cream before using it like a combat knife to slit your throat for calling her fat.

Looking at all the forums, from broken clutches, blown motors, shredded tracks, do not operate noticed and fuel pump issues, might be a few jumpers.
Yeah, teething issues. I wouldn't buy a first year Polaris product until I have enough money to afford that, and a newer one than I currently ride as a backup. But you're talking about one engine/clutch combination (Boost and P22), coupled with last year's track issue (series 8, mostly from sub-optimal drivers). On the other hand, I know several people who are still riding '19 850s with significant miles and no issues. Most Poos are pretty reliable, and the days of fixes needed out of the box (other than minor checks like clutch alignment) were mostly done by the time the AXYS came out. I'd put money on Poo 850s (not counting the Boost) being more reliable than Doo's, and they're worlds easier to work on. To each his own, but if Poos are half as bad as you think, they must ride circles around Doo to be worth it.

While I don’t love the fuel pump issues mine has, the Khaos matryx overall is an amazing sled. Super playful and goes places my axys didn’t ( at least with me on it). I didn’t see anything from doo that would make me switch. Good sled no doubt but for boondocking, steep side hills and stunting the specs don’t wow me.

You can’t judge a sled by hopping on your buddies and riding it for hour. Ride it a season adjust it to how you want it and there won’t be much difference. If you don’t have the courage to do switch brands once in a while you will get plain just like white rice. No different than trucks I’ve owned them all.

I commend you for your optimism. I agree with your advice, but it’s a fact we have members that simply do not know how to read the output of a machine to be able to adjust it. It’s easier to get on a forum and bitch.

Buddy of mine rode my kaos boost yesterday and he is die hard doo. He said its probably a great sled but steering was too wierd. Couldn't make it go where he wanted. I get that. I ride both so it doesn't bother me. His has a tune and he thought they were even power wise but thought his had better bottom end. I didn't ride his.

I’ve actually seen more NA poo 850 engine and clutch failures on social media this year on matryx sleds than I have the last couple years. Could be bad parts like I believe the engine recall earlier in the season was for or maybe stuff just getting overlooked at assembly as they’re trying to get sleds out as fast as possible with all the delays.

It was not the Matryx sleds that had the engine recall. Just the AXYS.

Can you please send me the drugs you take that allow you to adjust 45 lbs out of the front of a sled? It will kill 2 birds with one stone. Everyone one the forum will think I'm cool, cause I can post about doing drugs and I'll finally I'll know how to adjust my snowmobile.

So this thread would be more relevent after the Polaris and Cat reveals, so guys then could compare with what Doo is offering and what the other 2 may come up with this year. If you are absolutely blown away with the G5 then you won't even be watching the other 2023 reveals and you were likely going to buy a Doo anyway. Who knows, your reasoning for changing might simply be that you got bad service from a dealer this year and the Doo dealer is looking better now? Or you might have said to yourself, "I would buy one only if they could make it look like a Ninja Turtle"?
