Went up yesterday and got a first ride in on my new 09 700 155... :D

All I can say is this was not 'normal' snow for what we are used to.... SUPER dry and fluffy in most places and where we spent 4 hours breaking the 2 mile trail up on top of the ridge is was super deep.... Mark and I took turns breaking trail and great times were had.... :D:D

Gravel pit with Mark on his good old 900 and my new 700

Getting deeper... lost the trail momentarily

Stupid tree got in the way...

Taking a break... had a couple other guys on Mountain Max's following us for a couple hours

It got a little bouncy in the trench when Mark was breaking trail

This climb was a little steep..... I made it on the second attempt though

One of Mark's stucks....

After 4 hours of pushing, we made it to the lookout above the climbs at 3:45 PM

It was a little deep coming down the creek out of Sec. 3:eek:

is that jeff's old 700?? I think this season is going to turn out A-OK

Nope, Mark bought his red 900 166 brand new in 07.

I picked up this practically new black 09 700 2 weeks ago with only 101 miles on it and added some goodies:D

lucky duck!!

101 miles!!! not even broken in yet! F'n score! sled should be trouble free for a long time, take care of her.

Great pictures! Where to go next weekend?

Any ideas for next weekend? Looking for powder, high elevation, and large open riding areas if possible.
:)

We were up there for the break, sat at our cabin in the pouring rain....3 days solid, ugggh! We decided to get out and try to find snow, sure glad we did...we hit it about 4900 feet. It's weird how deep it is up there, but no where else!

Glad we got up there! Hopefully it's still good this weekend (fingers crossed)

Too bad it looks like it hasn't snowed up there since last week.... :(

Last weekend it was ok in the trees, but we definitely need more... :clock:

We went down to another area and on the way back we jumped on the 1000 rd and then turned up Grey Creek to get back up high.... As far as I am concerned Grey Creek is done till it gets more snow, there was between 0-2" of ice all the way up it till about the last 1/2 mile when we finally got back into about an inch of recent snow. My 700 hit 152*F and one sled in the group got all the way up to 170*F with scratchers down..... I am sure glad I wasn't on my 900 for that little section or I would have had to stop and let it cool as there was basically no soft snow to throw on the coolers along the way:eek:

Sounds familiar, we hit one of the cut off roads down to 1000, thinking that would at least get better.....nope! From Ice to dirt....I think White Pass got 3" this week, but that was probably only up high. We're heading up, if nothing else check on the cabin...would sure be nice if Winter would show up someday soon!

Maybe if you wait until Sunday for a ride. Looks like it's gonna get better (But right now, that's not too hard to do.)

Keep us posted.

Yes, Pinegrass...Section 3 etc. At least that's where we ride! :D

We ended up not going, but I guess the snow started hitting Sunday. Friends of ours went up and said they hit at least a foot new (6 inches @ the snow park) and it was coming down hard. White Pass Ski resort got 16 inches in 24 hours and it's just the edge of the storm!!

I know what my weekend plans are!!!:face-icon-small-ton:heart:

Well, I know why it's finally snowing, and your welcome! We finally got our butts out and are all snugged in the cabin watching it DUMP ! Yes our first ride of the year . . . I know, pathetic. Just a combination of ridiculousness that has prevented us from getting out. Plan to catch up now!
Cabin is at 3K' so my imagination is running away at what we'll find up high tomorrow! My rusty butt will be struggling. . . . . And laughing out loud inside my helmet!!!
Pics to follow . . . . If I look stuck in most of 'em it's just my crappy camera, I've been saving up for a better one!

See ya!

Great weekend ! Perfect weather, rode in 18 to 24 inches of fluff Sunday and a couple of our secret spots were untouched . . . ahhhhhhhh.
Sleds ran great, but I'm sure out of shape! New SledBed worked awesome! Couple little things then I need to get it painted. . . . But it was nice to finally get back out there. Nice ride today in a totally differant area that we have been meaning to check out, but never had until this morning, very nice! Found some large untouched meadows and managed to only face plant once . . .
Was great to snug into the cabin with my Beautiful Bride and chill after riding all day too. I am truly a lucky man.
