Whistler locals-looking for info about living/riding in Whistler

Having a mid life crisis and have considered using my dual citizenship and returning to my ski town roots. My son would live at the hill winter and summer if he could but would live to hear from any locals about the challenges of living in Whistler. I know what the ice cap riding is like but what about the other 80% of the time it is whiteout and deep? Any good trees areas? Thanks in advance.

Are ya sure ya want to? I ask bc its pretty addictive the lifestyle that is. Ride, work, party oh yeah then sleep, repeat!
What I can tell ya is get it in gear if your going to do it, Xmas the busiest time of the year.

Work shouldn't be too hard to come by, getting the GOOD job maybe. Its kinda depends on who ya know, but if ya have a job it pretty easy to get to know people.

As for the riding, its epic! Easily as good as far as terrain as Revelstoke, conditions can be wet and heavy but they can also be Champaign dry! Trees, ya theres nothing but, some great trees runs. Mid week there may only be a handful of trucks in the parking lot.

Good luck
