Which would you buy 2012 Standard RMK or 2011 Pro

Hi there I am looking at two machines. One is a 2012 800 RMK with 1300 miles and warranty on the engine till 12/2013 for $7k the other is a 2011 800 Pro with 850 miles and warranty till 12/2012 for just under $7k.

Both sleds seem like a pretty good deal, I would like the full Pro but am thinking the extra year of warranty may be worth it.

What do you guys have to say?

Thanks.

Get the warranty and the extra cooler on the 12 RMK, unless you REALLY need the WE shocks, but, if you did, you probably won't being asking or buying used. Refined map and injectors. I have an 11 pro, no issues, but the 12 motor is slightly better. You could also find some take off WE's from 11's or 12's pretty reasonably, and then you're golden. Good luck, $7 large and big grins.

First I ever heard of the '12 motor being any better. My '11 runs awesome and I didn't have the injector issue. Anyway, I would say warranty would be important. I don't believe the front cooler is necessary unless you ride the trail all day. Scratchers work well for me. I prefer the Pro Taper bars over the standard. I also prefer the colors and shocks (even though I swapped out the WE's on mine). The Pro is a little bit lighter but I would be attracted to the warranty.

Can you get a 163" in a standard? I don't see one on the Polaris website? ? ? only a PRO......

We run hard

R you nuts the pro is hands down better handling than a iq. dont even think twice pro all the way. I have owned them both.

The standard RMK is a pro-ride chassis not an IQ chassis from 2010. The difference I believe is the shocks, handle bars, location of controls, and the standard RMK has an extra cooler.

Yep, this is correct. If i could do it again i'd buy the Std. RMK instead of the Pro and then upgrade the shocks and make it better than the Pro version. Removing the front cooler to drop 5 pounds off the Pro version is just plain lunacy by Polaris.
