Was just wondering what movie has the most girl riding in it so I can show her that girls can really ride. Trying to get her more involved so she will want to go more. Thanks in advance!!

There are a couple of new movie that have women riders, SH5, Emilie Moreshead and TS8, Julie Marquart. In addition to that I would encourage her to take a look at the "annual ladies ride" website. It's all amazing women riders. they are very encouraging and you can learn a ton just reading and asking questions.
Heya, ya, of course I would say SH5, cause that's the one I'm in! But I do think by having the miss Extreme Contest and doing a WHOLE segment on a chicks, Thomas kinda takes the cake as far as getting to KNOW a chick rider.
I know last years Boodocers had some chick named Jen in it, some totally rippin backcounrty skiier, can't remember her last name right now, but she did some sledding and some skiing in it that ROCKED. Last year's 509 had some footage of Amber Holt and a tiny little snippit of me... TS usually has some footage of Juli and/or Ange...
I do think getting her onto our LR website www.ladiesride.com would be a GREAT start. There are some other younger girls over there. (how old is she?) Plus, yeah like OregonGirl said, the 2010LR Calendar will be FULL of women just BURSTING with confidence and throwin down some SWEET sleddin moves!

Thunderstruck 8 has 3 women segments: Julie Marquart, Ange Dyer and Riley Jensen. And Riley is only 17!! All AMAZING riders and great inspirations to young women.

Elevation 5 also has some awesome female riders. Jenn Berg had a great segment in Boondockers 5. She had a few clips in Boondockers 6, but unfortunately we didn't get the chance to ride with her much last season. Any of Amber Holt's segments are great.
There are more amazing women riding in the videos every year and I'm sure it will keep growing.

See............ Yippie!!!!!!!!!! We haven't had the chance to watch the whole flick. Now I'm even more excited. I think having the gals in the film makes the industry GROW!!!!!!!!!! And the gear industry REALLY GROWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amber is one heck of a climber. I love watching that. And Jenn, well she totally rocks!!!

Thanks for all the info! She is 13 or will be in a few weeks! I already bought TS8 great movie! Will check out the ones mentioned above! Will buy the other movies at the snow show either Denver or the Salt Lake sHow! Will also be getting her the calender! All the ladies on here look to be good to great riders! Sleadheads- focuses on one featured skilled female every year in her expertise, & always up scale footage
Thunderstruck- Little of everything & this year some great lengthy segments on each well skilled female & even a father daughter chute climb...I thought was neat
Slednecks- Freeriding w/ some insane jumps!
I know there are several more filmmakers as well coming out that capture female riding abilities as well as instructional videos.....
It seems almost any video now you can catch some female talent and all the producers are really making an honest effort to get more females in the films. I know for me logistics of traveling, expenses, weather & time to get a decent amount of footage for them to work with can be challenging some years with everyone's busy schedules.
I personally think exposing kids & young adults into the sport is great, male or female, they are our future for keeping the passion alive!

She looks like she's ready to go undergroundrmk!!!! If that pic is two years old, then she's probably a foot taller! My oldest daughter sprouted about 6 inches this last year! She's almost as big as me now and only 9. We have to get her a new sled this year too.
Our industry certainly is growing and including a much more diverse crowd! It's always been a family sport for me but hasn't always been portrayed as such in the vids so its great to see the producers including so many more women now and the youngsters! My oldest daughter certainly thinks it's cool and so will my youngest!
If I could just get a good lot of skilled female riders to meet me here in McCall, would be easy for me to put together a short women's film that I'd love to host online or a couple segments that other producers could throw into there to films. Something to think about ladies! Course, when I get into ride mode - I have a hard time whipping that camera out! LOL Just need to convince me otherwise!

I've only seen the TS video so far this fall. After reading some of the posts above I see I've got quite a few videos to choose from this year. Exciting stuff!!!
I'm not 13 but I totally get excited seeing other chicks tear it up! lolGP, it would be pretty dang cool to see you in Boondockers!!!! GO GO GO GO!!
She is one lucky gal to be riding at such a young age. And the sled she gets to ride. Well.....Kids these days are so lucky!!!!!!!! I wish I'd been on a sled like that at that age. I had to wait until my later 20's until I started riding. I think your a great dad for exposing something so great to her. It's such a wonderful sport to see the outdoors and appreciate the world around us.

Get ahold of the Thunderstruck, something like 5, where that gal follows the turbos up the shoot on her stock Polaris and climbs to within 5 feet of top. Pretty funny actually, all this hype about the big sleds making the climb then she goes right up there on her stocker.
