Which Used Sled Would you buy when money is tight

I agree with those saying fimish out the season with what you have. Buy in the spring or early summer when people want to sell to finance their new bikes. Stay under your max amount to have cash to set upmthe sled the way you want.

My thought is look for the newest M8 you can buy with lower miles and has been maintained. My research led me to M8 for a used sled due to reliability. I am not brand loyal at all, unless the sh*t lasts. Power is secondary for me with a sled. As far as power, with extra cash you can upgrade if you need and you choose the mods.

Good luck and no matter what you get- have fun!

Everyone thanks for the good advice. I am keeping looking, I sold my 2001 600 mountain cat this last weekend and I am going to ride my wife's 2000 if I get a chance to go out again, it seems like the snow is going away quick here with rain and temps up in the 40s on most days.

I will keep my eyes peeled and when the right deal comes along I should be ready to pounce on it.

If money is tight, stay away from anything modded. Also stay away from modding it in the future. Ya it will make more power, but will sooner than later require costly repairs. For reliability and price 600s are a good choice, all brands. Look into the dragon 7 and m7 for a blend of reliability and power. Or m8 seems to be reliable and powerful, easy to ride if you like that style. Myself I like xp's but the engine isn't all that reliable.
