I'm betting Utah gets knocked off this weekend by BYU, and BSU/Ball state will be the only two BCS busters left standing! Although Ball State has a tough matchup this weekend! I HOPE that the Red Raiders just put it to the Sooners, but I think it will be a tight, high scoring game nonetheless.

All I know is C'MON TEXAS TECH!!!!!!!!

National Championship game will be Florida and Oklahoma.

Florida and Bama play in SEC championship, Florida Wins. Oklahoma beats TT this weekend, eventhough I would like to see TT win. Oklahoma wins Big 12 and onto National Championship...

Good Call, My thoughts exactly........:beer;

Boise state would not be getting first in the conference every year if they played in the mountain west.. And boise should be the last team to point out weaknesses in an anyones schedule.. Utah has played a much better schedule than Boise state.. Oregon isnt good this year and that is their only decent win..

I think this year Boise state would have 2 in conference losses if they were in the mountain west.. Im not saying that Boise isnt good.. They are an awesome team but I think Utah and TCU would beat them.. And I think BYU could hang with them..

Ill be the first to admit that my cougars have been overratted this year.. Its like they have two teams.. But the team that played against UCLA, Wyoming and Air Force can hang with and beat a Utah and Boise state team this year. The team that showed up for TCU, Colorado state, and UNLV would get rolled by them..

This is what i see happening too... I think Oklahoma, Texas Tech, and Texas are all just about as good as each other.. And this one is being played in Norman where Stoops has only lost 2 games since he became head coach.. I want tech to win but i dont think they will.. It would be good to see a new team in the NCG for a change.. I think Florida steamrolls Bama too.. Bama just hasnt impressed me all that much this year..

LMAO at people predicting college football... havent you people learned that nothing ever goes as planned?

1- The big 12 south mess. I do see oklahoma beating TT. The "quality" of the victory will be huge in the bcs rankings. If OU blows them out they are set to run to the championship game, assuming they get by mizzu in the big 12 championship. If the game is close and OU squeaks out a W. I find it highly unlikely that a 12-1 sooners goes to the NC over an 11-1 texas team that beat them (strength of schedule). Reguardless the big 12 sends 1 team to the national championship and another to the fiesta.

2- SEC florida/alabama are both going to BCS games. Winner of the SEC championship goes to the NC game. Florida is looking good... scary good...

3- BCS busters. BSU places all their hopes on BYU... what a crappy place for them to be. I feel bad for BSU. Its not their fault no one will come play them on the smurf turf... they are tough, really tough at home. I would love to see BSU joing the moutain west, throw in a conference championship game and get an auto BCS bid. That said, BSU would not dominate the MTN west like they do the WAC. But it would also mean that Utes, Cougs, and TCU would have to step up their game too.

Bottom line is Utes know their destiny is in their hands. Playing at home against your top rival, you gotta be nuts to think they wont bring it. They just need to play for 60 minutes this time instead of 59 minutes like the last 2 years. Should they win, we will all get to see first hand how BSU stacks up against the MTN west when they go head to head with TCU in the poinsetta bowl... and yea i might just go down to that game!!! GO UTES!

Its so funny.. Boise state fans normally hate us almost as much as yewties do.. But now they are all pulling for us so they can get a BCS bid hmmmmmm.

PS it would be awesome to have BYU, UTah, TCU, and Boise state battling for the championship every year..

HMMMM Just like cougar town watched and prayed for Utah to give them a chance at redeeming there season when the Utes played TCU???? your welcome:rolleyes:

WHO IS THE BEST CANDIDATE:

Boise State "steamrolled" (RIGHT FROM ESPN) through a schedule including an almost impossible road win in one of the toughest environments (surprisingly outside of our own beloved blue turfed stadium) in college football. Pouring on scoring against one of the toughest defenses in the game (ranked top 10 at that point..including adding last seasons rankings since it was an early season game) while on the road battling the opposing defense and one of the best 12th men in the game. Alot was made that Oregon was depleted at quarterback well they were even more depleted after a run in with the physical Broncos and please note that BSU didn't win 10 to 7! They smoked Oregon at home and the final score wasn't even indicitive of how that gamed played. Boise State dominated Oregon on both sides of the ball. It was a HUGE HUGE WIN that they aren't even coming close to getting the value credit on due to the weak performance of the Pac Ten. It was surprise and it was an upset because nobody expected BSU to be all that strong with an unknown freshman QB, a totally new O-line, and half of the defense gone to graduation or the NFL. Well it was surprise and all they've done since is totally dominate everyone that they've played. They've made touted QB's want to sit out the game. They've made touted offenses perform at half of there standard numbers irregardless of their strong suite of running or passing. They've dominated special teams play. And finally they've owned the competition on take away margins.

Furthermore

Now also note the total dominance of Bowling Green fresh off of their upset victory over highly ranked and bowl bound Pitt. The win loss ratio of opponants for Utah and BSU is almost identical. Look at the win loss ratios after teams have played Boise State. Bad news for your boys as they are all beat up!

Two much is being made over the MWC strength and ratings. A squeeker by Utah over 23rd (but then unranked) Oregon State at home and then TCU getting destroyed by OK (which was called a "quality defeat" holy crap ha they got blown out and soonies second and third team played the entire fourth quarter) That is the conferences quality performances and other then that it's them playing over ranked them's.

The difference is that Utah has had the benefit of their most difficult challenges at home. We must also note that they barely survived two of those challenges (and looked terrible in both). They only won by nothing short of a couple of miracles or possibly the fact that neither TCU or Oregon State are really all that tough. Once again the benefits of meeting all three of your toughest competitors at home is a huge bias that has not been properly exposed. I strongly believe they would have two losses and I'd be looking at **** instead of blogging about this.

Now here is an additional tidbit....can you imagine BSU this season if Cady (LOCK DOWN ROOKIE STARTING O T FOR DENVER) and O Scandrick DB for Dallas don't leave early for the NFL. Now also note one of the most exciting receivers in the WAC got kicked off of the team (Titus) and they never got the chance to have him and Childs on the field at the same time. SCARY SCARY SCARY...

Utah gang you do not want the BSU program in your league...getting second third or fourth every year for ever is not a pleasant deal for your fandom! just ask any Fresno State follower. This was a building year!

Does this mean your officially cheering for BYU this weekend? Come on I just want to see it in writing straight from the source.:D

What? I never root for Utah.. I wanted TCU to win that game.. The only time I will ever root for Utah is if they are in a BCS bowl game...

Utah is having a great year.. I give them credit... Most yewties cant ever do that for BYU even when you guys take 4th in the conference

BSU's oppenents combined record is 54-73, and Utah's opponents combined record is 67-63. BSU played 1 top 25 team all year. Oregan #17 beating them 37-32. Utah has played Michigan when they were ranked, not saying there all that good, but they still #3 at the time. TCU who's ranked #11, OSU who's ranked around #20 or so, and when they beat BYU tomorrow, that will be the 4th top 25 team they beat this year. They deserve the sugar bowl. BSU is a good team, but they wouldn't win the MWC by any means every year like they win there division now. There record would end up around 8-4 or 9-3 and finish around the same as UT, BYU, and TCU. That would be a fun division to watch though. I just don't think anybody would be undefeated anymore. JMO!

RIGHT FROM THE SOURCE...GOooooooOOOOOO BYU ($$$$$$$$$)! Chanted by me and the other 250,000 plus BYU haters in the world. WE HAVE 3.5 MILLION REASONS TO CHEER THAT WAY! Going to a BSC is exactly like adding another successful major publically traded corporation to your community. The first pay day is only a small and minor part of the overall pay day. WIN LOOSE OR DRAW...getting there is the golden nugget.

Scottie you have no sense of community...go utes? HOLY CRAP I am questioning your fanhood!! YOU ARE OFFICIALLY ON PROBATION and loose one unsticking (or search and recover mission) and don't get to ride my sled EVER...OK maybe you do but GRRRRR!:D:D

Now can someone please point out when was the last time a MWC team beat Boise State in football? Also while you are doing your research go ahead and post the over all record.

BTW Oregon is still ranked...This season's WYOMING, AIRFORCE, and MICHIGAN are muffins and should never be related to any arguement concerning quality wins.

Once again....Would Utah have beaten Oregon State outside of the friendly confines of their own house? NO... STATISTICALLY SPEAKING! Would UTAH have beaten TCU outside of their own house? NO...once again statistically speaking a home game is worth an average of 7pts. Which game would BSU have lost? Answer none...nobody has even remotely been close. Home or away.

FACT: Proven historically, BSU has and would absolutely dominate that conference no different than they have in direct competition that has been unarguably been proven on the field of play. It would only get scarrier for the best three when they have to come to Boise and play in an arena that is the most difficult away win in division 1. Once again BSU is a dynasty of mid major football and you can't compete....poke the sleeping bear and you might get pooped out!

I hope BYU wins so Boise can get in for sure. Either way we have a great football team this year and look out because we are only going to get better from this point.

GO BSU!!!!!!

rob rob rob...

speculation, speculation , speculation!!!

Facts are these. Utah has more quality Wins than Boise State. You can try and argue that all day but facts are facts. You can try and point out home/away point totals, etc, but the bottom line is a W is a W. And when Oregon State Beats Oregon it will only serve to strengthn the Utes position.

BSU needs to focus on Nevada and then Fresno. Utah needs to focus on the cougs. Ive said it all along, i would love to see BSU/Utah Fiesta bowl. How fun would that be? But it will never happen in the current system. It simply sucks that BSU is going to get left out because a 8-4 ACC and 9-3 Big Least team has to get in... complete BS if you ask any college football fan.

Lastly, im a BSU fan, i love seeing them tear apart the competition. They are a good football team, and yes they have owned Utah/BYU in head to head competition... (i refuse to play the down year BS that people try to play). But the MTN west is a tougher conference than the WAC. Boise state would not dominate it like the WAC. Title contender for sure, but no more 30 point victories...

I swear some Boise state fans live on another planet.. Boise state fans always use the same line.. We are undefeated against mountain west opponents bla bla bla.. Good job you beat BYU and UTah on their historically worst seasons..

You talk about cupcakes and boise has played Oregon with their 5th string quarterback.. whoopedy doo.. OH yeah but im forgetting the national powerhouses like.. LA tech, Utah state, Idaho, Hawaii, san jose state and the always overratted fresno state who has completely dropped off the map.. Utah, BYU, TCU, and air force would go undefeated every year with that cream puff schedule too..

Boise state would get 3rd in the MWC every year..

Ps.. its funny boise state fans hate the Y so much.. We have played you like twice. Its a pretty one sided rivalry cause the Y couldnt care less about what Boise state does.

I'll let you say it for me Rob! I am physically incapable of not routing against We Whine U. BSU to the BCS with a Utah loss would be good.

Still pulling for BSU and TCU to go head to head this bowl season, I can't think of a better game to watch besides Utah and Florida maybe.:D

YES we did it! AGAIN!

:D

I say no for BS to join MWC! Everybodys beating up each other no one goes 12-0 and no BCS bid!

My CSU Rams did a little better this year and excited about future years with new coach.

Go Utah for #1
