Which sled to get?

I am looking to get a newer sled for this season, last year I had a Polaris genII with a 159 and slp pipe, it seemed low on power and didn’t work like I thought It would. That was my first sled and I took it out about 10 times, now I am looking at older REV's but the motors seem a bit unreliable, older artic cat 1M seems decent even looked at a MM 700 piped and 156 tracked but I know those are old school and heavy. Looking to spend probably less than 4k would you guys recommend?

Chris

less than 4 gs

maybe a m7 but most likely a 04 or 5 edge alot diff than gen 2 . king cat but they beat the heck out of you but your young, king will do everything the new sleds will do with tons of power i have both because knowone will give you money for them these days. if you could jump up 2 gs you could get nice machine

Thinking i should go up to 5500 and look at newer rev's, 07 rev with less than 500 miles on it sounds like a good deal, still not comforting to see half of the skidoos for sale have new motors under warr from the dealer.

I would look for the cleanest. lowest mileage you can find....'03 or newer Edge RMK 800, , Summit REV 800 151 or longer, would even consider a M7, not sure you'll find a M8 for that price. I would avoid the Yami, heavy and terrible in the deep.

The Polaris 800 had SOME issues with the crank, but not as widespread as some would like to believe. Overall one of the best sleds ever made IMO.
I would avoid the '07 Rev UNLESS it has a '08 or newer engine (alot of them do). '06 is the best year REV.

I would try to find a M7 if it was me. Light, reliable, and with a little work will hang with most new sleds.

Not sure if you got anything yet, but look on Sledswap. There is always a lot of sleds on there in all price ranges. Hope this helps!

Havent got anything yet still gathering funds hopefully before the snow show I will have $5k, also been looking at King cat 900's seem heavy but solid

Get to the Blue Lot as early as you can on Sat morning. The best deals go in the first few hrs

its an 07 in redmond. looks like a sweet deal $5400. 206-300-3676 dont know about the motor but its an X. maybe in this economy you can pick it up for 5 even.:clap2:

Biggest/longest you can afford

You could buy a kingcat for 3k, and go on a trip. Saw an 09 m1000 for 6500 on here! If you got 4k, Id borrow 2k and get somthing 08'-09'ish and have somthing pretty nice. The economy is down, unemployment up. Cash is your weapon. Happy shopping, Ya I am jealous. -00's
