Which Place to ride in the Snoqualmie Area

Hi Everyone,

A few of us from the Wenatchee area will be making the trip over to ride the Snoqualmie area next weekend. We are meeting others from the west side of the mountain, but none of us are familiar with these riding areas. Which one would you guys recommend to ride... Gold Creek, Lake Kachess, Stampede and the others. We are all boondockers and mountain riders. We don't mind trails, as long as there is play areas off those trails. Thanks.

Gold Creek sound more like what you would like to ride. I had to be shown where the good spots were. Last week I was shown another new spot to me and I have ridden this area pretty hard. I would take every little trail cut off on the way up and see what you find. Lots of people ride up to the Radio Tower which is great unless you are the 75th person in line. Good luck, I love Gold Creek. It is less than an hour from my house pulling the trailer.:face-icon-small-hap

Right on, thanks. Gold Creek is the same exit as Hyak, correct? What is the area that you can see off of I-90 that it looks like everyone parks on the side of the road?

That's Gold Creek, Exit at Hyak and go to the north side of I-90...If coming from Wenatchee area, it's closer to park at Lk Kachess and access the same area from the east.....Grooming maps will show the way....

The snopark that is further west is used much less, less crowded. GC has a turn around spot at the end, don't park in the wide spot. Anywhere on the right side of the road after you turn around is fine. A snow blower recently went in and widened the road which is nice. Not mirror to mirror on the way out.

Park at Price Creek the first exit past Stampede heading west and head up the road! almost a straight shot up! Better then the Gold creek park and not as much pressure!
