Which One - M8 or M1100 Turbo

I am considering a new sled as a back up to my M8T. Considering the M1100 Turbo due to the increased power that can be achieved. Has anyone had a chance to ride one? is the added weight a disadvantage in the nimbleness compared to the M8? I typically boonedock in the trees with a little climbing mixed in. Any info would be greatly appriciated.

M8T PG weighs about 475 lbs dry and 200-210 HP

1100T weighs around 570 lbs dry and 177HP which sled do you think will be more nimble in the trees. that's almost 100 lbs do you feel the pro climb chassis is so great it can compensate for a 100lb shortfall, I haven't rode one yet but I think Not

you have a m8 turbo.

get a 1100t... its less expensive too!

it will be interesting to see which one you ride the most.

i think the 1100t is going to surprise a lot of people :face-icon-small-win

I agree with you on the weight and the logic. I just know that with the race team we are building very big power with the four stroke turbos and with way less money. Short of a pipe / can, and reprogram the fuel map in the 1100T it will make around 27 lbs of boost stock, considerably more power than my M8T PG. As for nimble, I have not been on one either. I wish i could ride one before I decide.

rent

I'm going to rent first then decide , good luck finding a m1100t . Everyone i talked to said their spoken for.

You sound like a boondocker. When you hear 4-stroke guys saying that they can boondock with 2-strokes, it's usually because they consider boondocking to be climping straight hills with a few trees here and there. I've only seen one video of Chris Brown on a T-Nytro that I'd actually consider boondocking.

I hope the 1100T handles 5X better than my 320 hp Propane Nytro did, because it will have to be to lure me off my little PG M8 in the trees. For now I'm saying I don't care how much horsepower the 4-strokes have - it doesn't make it any easier to pull an extra 100 lbs out of a tree well (which happens more often than we'd like when we burn a tank of gas without seeing a trail.)

Absolutely, ..............love the tree well comment :face-icon-small-hap I do like the idea of renting one first. I know my dealer doesnt have any 1100T's left either, only an XF Highcountry.

Where and when

Come out to Utah. We'll take on a demo ride with the m8 and the 1100t, then just buy which ever one you like when you are done.

Thats what i was going to do rent and buy i have three weeks off at christmas and stay a week in logan and go riding on my way home from work. ( really want to buy this year i had to stick 3 grand in the m1000 might as well ride her another year then see how the cats do ) But i want to rent this year heck i could come home with one . boatland wanted to sell me one i wouldn't buy a lawnmower from them , they charged me to update my ecu on a stock cat with a airbox and i brought the ecu in .

hello

Anyone know where i can rent a m8 and m1100t coming from elko nevada in dec and going to slt lake , logan then heading up to sw washington . I would'nt mind going up into idaho for the right ride .

Last I heard Amber was using the non-turbo 1100's in her fleet. I doubt youll find anyone who is renting the 1100T. Just too expensive of a machine to put in a rental fleet, and the liability would be too high.

im pretty sure she has a little of everything in her fleet, i know for sure she is getting a highcountry 1100t.
point being you can take her class and ride all of them. one stop demo, plus you will learn something, regardless of who you are, she will find something in your style to improve on.

just a thought!!!!
