which is better

I am buying a new sled and i was pretty sold on an 06 m7, they are efi and 140hp stock, but the rider postion seems abit old school. Then i rode a friends 07 600 rmk and it was alot of fun.... Then i found a 07 700 rmk dragon for a good price and slp pipe and can...what kinda hp will this sled have? is it reliable, does it handle well for flat land and trail?

Old school?? 06 M7 is the same riding position as the 09 M8 which is sled of the year. M7 is hands down a better sled than the POO, the M7's engine rocks.

Stock HP for the Dragon is 140HP as well. I love my Dragon and the IQ riding style. My dad has a 06 m7 and loves it, but mine is easier to throw around. Both great sleds! :D

The best thing you can do is get the m-7 and buy a Boss seat with a 3" high rise. I had a 07 M8 with that seat and loved to ride it. I have a 08 700 RMK. I Think the Poo is more fun to ride because it is snappier, but im partial to the poo motor.

uuuh, not quite the '07 dragon will school the m7 all day. put the 162 on the m7 and it's close, but the m7 always lacked bottom end. My experience anyways, and that of many others

The 07 Dragon is a much better all round sled than the M7.
As stated. The M7 was weak on the bottom end.
THe 07 dragon front spindles tend to lead to heavy front streering, This is easy to correct with a set of Holz easy steer spindles.

The other thing to think about is track.
The M7 had 2 different tracks that came with it. If the sled you are looking at has the Attack 20 track DON"T GET IT. the attack 20 had a major flaw. It was and is by far the best deep powder track that has to date been build. That same trait that makes it such a good deep powder track makes it down right dangerous on hard pack or trails. The tips of the track lay over. This allows the track to climb up on the powder better than any track out there, the down side is the tips lay over on hard pack also and pretty much turns the track into a racing slick.

Given the choice of the M7 or the 07 Dragon, get the dragon.
That having been said, the 07 600 RMK is 120 hp and a flat out fun sled. I believe it is carbed where as the other 2 (M7/07 dragon) are injected. The 07 600 lends itself to modding much better and cheaper than both of the 700 series sleds.

Theres a little more info to confuse the issue for ya.

i find the rmk really easy to toss around and side hill and carve with...i can lean and cut a donut with me shoulder almost in the powder...will the m7 be this easy? how will the m7 be sitting down to ride?

M7 is going to be pretty close as far as carving and sidehilling.
Don't really know how it will be sitting down as I have never riden one while sitting.

700 dragon , is better in my opinion, we ride with a 07 700 155 and a m-7 153
The dragon is just plain fast and will hang or beat on most 8's out there .
If your xp ,cat what ever is not running spot on the700 dragon will make you pay every time .

The M7's engine has alot more potential for future mods.

Why does it have more potential? Carls and SLP make a bunch of stuff for the 600/700/800HO motors.

The M7 is an older more traditional chassis (reminds me of my old Edge chassis). It is lower to the ground than the IQ. The M7 had some bog issues, so you might have to work that out if you get one. The M7 doesn't have reverse either.

Dragon 700 any day.

Is the m7 really 140? i tried looking up the horsepower for one earlier this cause thats what i have but didn't find anything

So in summary:
All 3 sleds are good and you won't be disappointed no matter which one you choose. LOL. At least that's what I got out of this.

All three are good sleds (as much as I like bashing my buddies' sleds:D). As far as being disappointed, that's going to depend on if you pick the one that's right for you. In a perfect world, you'd get the chance to ride all of them and pick what fits you best. Doesn't really matter what you buy these days from a quality standpoint. Only you can decide what fits you best. Good luck.

Just a tid-bit. The RMK (Rocky Mountain King) was designed by Bucky's Polaris in Pinedale, WY in conjunction with Polaris.
