i have an 06 600 H.O 121, which would be the better primary to get, the P-85 polaris or the TRA 3 ski-doo?

Depends on your tuning skill. I run a p-85 and so far it ROCKS but my buddy put on the tra and he is all over me when we ride. He works for ski-doo and has that advantage for tuning. We both ride 600 HO 136" hawks I was a die-hard Polaris man until i dumped the twin skis so the p-85 was my choice and the price is way cheaper than the tra. So far neither one has shown to be better than the other but both STOMP the stock clutch.

went with the P-85

ok i got the P-85 today but there's no weights or spring, i have a stock secondary, any thoughts on what weights and spring to use?

I ride at 0 -3,000 ft mostly I'm still playing with my clutching but I have put a almond blue spring and 56 gram weights. My secondary has a straight 40 in it and stock spring. I have a tiny tach and I'm running about 7830 -to 7950 rpm. I have just reground my weights to 55.5 gram to try and pull a Lil more rpm. If that does not work I'm going to add a almond red spring and probably have to put 60 gram weights in considering the amount of spring pressure it would have. P.S get a scale I bought one from a local mining shop and match your weights so far all of mine have been between 2-8 tenths of a gram off just remember they Will be spinning 8,000 rpm.Help save your PTO bearing.

I still say the p-85 is for those who are not smart enough to tune a real clutch. HA HA HA HA.:D

Don't forget!

The P85 Fuji is the only direct application for the 503F, for the 600 the taper has to be re bored to the Rotax crank, this is why the Comet copy made new for the Ski-Doo is the least expensive option.

The taper bore is so important to be accurate for balance, have heard of some engines vibrating off their engine mounting bolts, carnage!

I got my fixed half off e-bay . If you have a local machine shop you might be able to have them re-taper yours. I spoke with a local shop here and said if I took my old clutch in he could do it but would charge me about $100.00 The fixed half I got was $75.00 I have also seen some others for sale on line. Hope that helps.
