What is a smart pig???

I smart pig is a electronic pig that goes in the pipeline to check for cracks,corrosion and any deformaties in the pipe.
They are loaded with magnets and sensors and can get very heavy,upwards of 25,000 lbs...this pig in this picture is a big one,its a Emat and cost 10 mil to build.

The pig is pushed by gas or oil on the pipeline.
It has a speed control on it to keep it running at around 3 mph,lots of technology in there.

Heres a few new pics of the Peterbilt,I am almost finished doing modifications to it and it should be out on our fleet next week....
A you can see in the pictures I have a portable deck on it covering up the fifth wheel,its nice to have a deck truck once in a while.
