We normally ride out of centennial but with lack of snow we're looking for somewhere different to ride Thursday through Saturday, any suggestions would be great. And a place to stay. Thanks

Well, I would personally follow the snow and right now, Routt County has the most snow in the state. That's Rabbit Ears, Buff Pass, Whiskey Park, Zirkels etc. If you want more of a party atmosphere, Steamboat is a good place to stay. Though its not just a party town, it just has much more nightlife opportunities than anywhere else in Routt. If you are after a little more secluded stay, and I would go north to Hahn's Peak or Clark. Clark is sort of centralized between the Buff zone and north Routt riding zones. Though you will have to trailer, you are within a 5 minute drive of Seedhouse Rd parking lot., half an hour of Hahn's peak and about 45 minutes to Buff. You'll obviously have to trailer in Steamboat as well, but you can stay in Hahn's Peak and not have to trailer the sleds once you are there. Lots of options up here.

We just got back from Buff pass, 8 feet at the top everything is settled and wind blown. Lots of snow drifts to jump. You can find some better snow deep in the trees. We stay in Walden its a very short drive to the parking lot. But do NOT stay at North Park Inn they have horrible service. Antler Inn is a great place.

Sure, you guys don't have any snow in your neck of the woods, but I would hardly call 200+ inches up here "crap".

We have a good base but a month of sunshine toasted it.crusty hard crap.not worth even trying to find powder.when it snows again it will be extremley dangerous for avys for a while.

That sucks! I feel for you guys down there... we often seem to have opposite conditions. Why can't that jet stream just dump on both of us instead of one or the other!

These were taken just outside of Lincoln, NE yesterday...I'd stay around the midwest until it snows here again:face-icon-small-win

Just Kidding man, i used to live in Omaha so i know how you feel. Anywhere in Colorado has snow right now. Any local has their own honey holes we dont like to share to much.

Don't forget it depends on which way there facing, the direction of the wind and Jersey color!

It probably doesn't mean anything.....:face-icon-small-sho

I don't care where you go in colorado, you will not find fresh untracked powder.anyone who disagrees with me is smoking dope! I live here.the bunny ears mite have a deep base but i would rather watch paint dry than ride crap azz crusty tracked snow.I'm not trying to be negative but i would save my money for when this state gets a good storm and be avy aware when it does.

Rode snowies saturday and RE/Buff Sunday and Monday. Similar snow in both places windblown and getting crusty in the open. Snow in the trees in both places are ok, soft enough to have a little fun. Found a little better snow down in CO and they definetly have more depth, but new snow is needed pretty bad. Was able to find untracked in both places. If you can hold off till a storm that would be your best bet.

DUDE, you live in Mancos.... Of course there isn't any snow down there, it is the freaking desert.

Since this is Colorado, I am smoking dope (legally) AND riding great snow every weekend. What kind of retarted standard is it to say you wont ride anything but fresh untracked powder?

This was last Sunday... nothing but my fresh tracks in the deep powder snow
