Where to ride Saturday?

Fairview is easy because you can drive right to the snow.

But what about Tony Grove, anyone been there lately? Can you still get out of the parking lot without having to ride mud/pavement?

Is the gate at Soap Stone and Nobletts open?

What about Monte?

I'm riding Saturday, just gotta figure out where.

Dan, I came here thinking the same question. I'm trying to get together a ride too.

Last Sun Nobletts access was good only because of the fresh snow. One lane (the right side) of the road was plowed as you went up. Soapstone was great up top! Snowed all day & no people. I'm thinking you'd need to ride the field and pavement a bit to get there now ?

My money would be Mirror Lake Gate up into SoapStone. ?

I just talked to the Kamas ranger office. Gate is open today at Soap Stone but they aren't plowing. They said you can only go about 1/2 mile up from the gate before the snow stops you.

They have started plowing over Wolf Creek as some of you have seen. They are NOT going to unlock the gate until they are plowed all the way across.

WTF?

That sucks....:face-icon-small-sad

M8Chris just sent me a text saying he went to Tony's today. He said there is still lots of snow up there, but didn't hear anything about parking down low still or having to go higher. Hopefully he'll chime in.

As of 7:30 pm tonight the gates at Monte are closed, but still snow up high.

this weekend is going to suck for sledding with the hard snow and storm moving in. might as well break out this bikes for this weekend and try sledding next weekend.

I hope you're wrong :D

Those that go Saturday....let us know how it is.

Yea, I decided to bail out... I don't like riding in the rain.

Reset and try next weekend.

As soon as Kim and the other walking wounded are mobile enough we should do a dinner or something. Then everyone can show off their scars.

Yes at Tonys you do have to park up higher. But still plenty of snow. We'll be going into June.
