Where to live in colorado?

Not sure if I should let you in on the secret but it is only 40 min. drive from Grand Junction to the best sledding in CO. The Grand Mesa is incredible! I will now probably be strung up from the highest tree from the GJ boys for letting the cat out of the bag. Seriously, it is about the best area for all around, all year motorsports.

Damb, now we might run into other peeps while out riding. Nothing like the Mesa with a couple feet of fresh on a weekday.

Grand Junction 7th sunniest city in country!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Valley is a sunny valley

By the time you read this, if the National Weather Service forecast is correct, we will have endured one whole day of limited sunshine and possible precipitation out of a gloriously sunny Thanksgiving weekend. And the sun should be making another lengthy appearance today.

Is it any wonder that Grand Junction made Tourism-Review.com’s list of the sunniest cities in the country? People who have lived here for any length of time already know that the sun is a frequent visitor to the skies over the Grand Valley.

According to Tourism-Review.com, Grand Junction is No. 7 on the list of the eight sunniest cities in the United States, roughly tied with Honolulu, Hawaii, with the sun appearing during 71 percent of daylight hours. Our fair city is the only community in Colorado to make the list.

What’s more we’re not afraid to claim that our sunny days are more pleasant, year-in and year-out, than those of communities with Hades-like heat in the summer, such as Yuma, Ariz., (No. 1 on the list), Las Vegas, Nev., (No. 2) and El Paso, Texas (No. 3).

Winter has nearly arrived, and Grand Junction often sees somewhat less of the sun over the winter months than other times of the year. Even so, sunny days are frequent and wonderfully pleasant in western Colorado.

Now, based on Tourism-Review.com’s rankings and efforts of local tourism officials to publicize those rankings, it appears a good many more people will come to recognize that “Here Comes the Sun,” is a song about Grand Junction.
