I was cruzing some people photobuckets from people on here and ran across this chute. I know I have seen it before on here in a thread and want to say somebody said it was in NW montana. Anyone know its whereabouts?

That's the practice chute to get back into the good stuff. Wait until you see the REAL chutes!!!! ;)

But seriously, the real question is who is going to get the rights to name it?

If my sled works out after the heart tansplant I will try it,

Thanks for the proper copy of the image, that one was busted. Where exactly is it, like GPS coords, also, how much snow does it take to fill that sucker in?

Larry is taking me out first Sawyer. I don't know the area from the East side (Troy) Well, maybe we could meet up there in the next weekend or two...??

Lots of great country back in there, but don't tell anyone.
Benning Mtn and beyond, nice.

You really gonna take it Larry? I thought JOP and Mini were racing for it. Would love to see the 1200 work up it though!

You guys bring me out to the ones on benning and I may try em, they look pretty sweet. where on earth is golaith though, I been lookin all over on google earth and havent found anything close to it, especially cuz the backs of all the really steep stuff is all shadowed.\

derrr.... just used my superior reasoning powers to search for the lake in the title, and its VERY obvious now... holy crap its steep!

I found the original thread about it, I think they said its been done late spring by bigbore cats, just like a lot of the chutes over the majority of the west.

Here is a pic off google earth showing what it looks like in the summer, you can barely even see the crack it goes up! Slope is steeper then i care about thinking about. There is an area to hang out on top. But I dont know if you can get down any practical non 5 mile loop style way.
