Where is a good place to live/work/sled in eastern BC?

Grande Prairie

Move to GP. Tons of work. Some of the best riding you'll ever do is in Kakwa, which is basically the back side of McBride, 3 hrs. Tumbler, 3 hrs. Chetwynd, Pinepass 3 hrs. You can always make a trip or two to Valmount or Revy. We might not have the tallest mountains, but we have tons of powder and vert!

You guys that have to drive 3hrs to go for a ride, I feel for you...lol...That would suck balls. Our main riding area is 30 kms from my house to the parking lot, You can spend more time in the liquor store deciding on which beer your gonna take for the day than it takes to drive there.

Well

All these towns are sh!t. No housing, no work (that'll pay MY bills). If you want to ride here you drive! I do day trips all the time. Jump in with me if you want to split costs.

there is 3 areas to ride here 5 minute from my house another 30minute drive 5 more areas within a hour & stewart 2.5 hours:face-icon-small-hap

CN Rail , hire online, Ask for Jasper as your home terminal . 80 k a year to start, hour 15 from Valemount, hour 30 from Mcbride, party town to live in, skihill 20 mins away. cant beat it.

Thats awesome!

If my family wasn't settled here I would definitely consider moving to a town/city in the mountains. Would be nice to ride right from the house. I could do that here at home at one time, we just don't get enough snow anymore. Winter came early this year, but there's not enough yet to ride here. That and its supposed to be 6*C this weekend. Bye, bye snow:face-icon-small-sad

I see your from spirit river, I actually went to college in fairview, peace river valley would be cool riding if you guys got more snow on a regular basis.
I hear on the family thing, my family farms in south Saskatchewan = no snow, Between banking overtime and holidays from my job here in bc, I still spend 3-4 months a year working on the farm
