I guess I'm heading north instead of south on friday, the mountain meadow cabins are full & I don't have a clue where the best place to stay up there is.

Have a good time in Wyo K.
I am stuck in a holiday inn in Colby, KS right now.
Weather totally sucks, evedentally it only snows when I am out of town.

wow, after 3 pm's about the snowies, I'm going down south.

I'm not gonna travel 3+ hrs to go to another vail pass.

I don't know how you guys can deal with places like that but it's not worth it to me.

thanks for th info doable, you just confirmed what I had heard from a few others!

Ahhh, yes. You gotta experiance the solitude of the Snowy Range wilds to know snowmobiling at it's best ...

Well, not the Snowies, but you get the idea.

Even when the Snowies is packed full of sledders, there's still alot of untouched, but yeah...go south. Hit up Cumbres pass. Looks slammed right now and endless riding, no crowds for sure.
If/when you do go to the snowies, the Old Corral is really nice. Decent room prices for very nice rooms and a nice place in general.

Well BCIL ... after all the warnings about crowds etc. at Snowy Range, we pulled into the Greenrock parking lot at 11am Saturday (after hwy 287 finally opened up) to find only 6 rigs in the lot and about a foot or more of fresh on the west side. Awesome day with the place to ourselves. Seems no one could get to Laramie due to road closures. Most of the landmines seem to be gone, too.

ended up ok anyhow.

Went to irwin, tons of snow, and nobody in the lot at all.

saw some beater truck with mtndoo on the license plates, wonder who that would be???

Snowies was pretty good. Could still use a good dump, but 4 to 5 feet of base now.
