my 00 rmk 700 have a problem. i rode my sled at the snowies. it ran perfect for two days then a throttle wire just broke off and the motor just died on me. got a new cable and started running for like 10 mins then it died on me again. we dont know what wrong with it. when the motor cool down, it ran again for alittle bit then died again. could it be stator? overheating? wiring?

my sled was being towed three times by my friend's dad's 04' sled and turn out his belt just ripped off. got too hot. towed for 6 miles three times in two days

By throttle "wire" do you mean the throttle cable? If so, The throttle cable must be adjusted so that there is some freeplay on your throttle lever, but very very little. If you have too much freeplay in it, the "stuck throttle kill switch" will kick in and the sled will not run unless you have the throttle open. You can unplug all the wires coming from the throttle block to bypass this and check it out to see if that is what is going on. Hope this helps you.

already did. we think theres something wrong inside the motor, prody its the pto. i took the belt off for towing and i started the motor and it ran so i put the belt back on and it wont start

the throttle cable also controls the oil pump. by default the oil pump will go to wide open if the cable breaks. that may be the problem

Tap a voltmeter into the wiring coming from the stator and start it. Monitor the voltage from the stator and see if it the voltage drops out and causes the engine to kill. If there is a break in the stator winding I'd think as it heats up that gap expands causing the continuity to break which could cause your issue.
Just a thought.

ya we are doing that later this weekend and see what happen.

If it runs fine until it heats up sounds like you may have a broken water pump belt. pull off the recoil and see iff the belt is broke or missing teeth
