Whats with moving the movie trailers this year?

Pretty clear which will bring more interaction. More likely it wasn't considered. But hey we all make mistakes and i'm sure the powers that be will allow videos in all relevant forums. Only reason I'm posting here, is because I know how much effort everyone puts into these teasers. And it's all for the viewers enjoyment. So when it's stuffed in the corner and people don't get to see it, well it kinda takes the wind outta your sails.

True, but you also don't put the nice and shiny brand new gear front row center. You put it towards the back of the shop drawing people in to see the rest of what you have for sale.

Honestly, we bitch when people post for sale ads all over SW and they(SW) create a swap meet for that. We bitch that the search engine sucks and we can't find anything, but people create threads without even scrolling down, let alone search. The women bitch about not having a womens section, SW does that.
Heaven forbid they do everything we say.......organized chaos is not organized. It's just chaos.

Look at it this way, now you know where the videos are going to be. No guessing, no scrolling through 10 pages, boom and your there. You want video, you go to the video section. You want to talk about mods, you go to perf/mod.

Seems to me that the mods should be concerned about generating the most traffic possible for the benefit of the site. I posted up KC's trailer in the ladies forum because it has a women's segment. I was sad to see it moved

Since the ladies forum gets so few posts, you would think they would want stuff posted that is relevent to draw viewers???

I agree, leave them where they're originally posted and let them get buried on their own. The mods should copy the teaser posts into movies if they want to have them all in one place.

I like this idea of leaving them where they get posted and then a have a mod copy the teaser post to the movie section. That way we have the best of both worlds.

That way if a person looking specifically for a movie can go to that section and find them. At the same time the people that hop on the mountain/deep powder section which is where 10 times more viewers are, the teasers are generating more traffic to the site. Especially in the middle of the summer when it is so slow and not a whole lot is happening here.

So I voted to keep the movie section.

Too many subsections makes the board seem dead/quiet/slow.

No one wants to join or surf a forum with little activity because it's boring. That's one reason I can't stand BCR.....too many weird subsections, little activity in most.

I've been a member for years, visit the forum quite often and I forget there's a video/movie section for months at a time. I assume anything decent will be posted in the more popular sections for maximum exposure. Obviously most other members in this thread operate in the same manner.

Yep, bang on! And people aren't uploading vids every day, so most of us don't check it often enough to stay on top of it. But say you have a couple of hours to kill and want to browse some videos, then the movie section makes sense. I voted to keep it as well.

I think the members/video makers are smart enough to post up in more than one place if it means more views

NONONO Lets move the damm things !! Not only that lets have a freekin section for pow vids with doos , one for cats etc.
Lets even have sections for ones with ramp jumps cuz those suck and i dont wanna see em.
Lets have a section for chute pulls and another for vintage sleds in pow.
Lets have a section for what new sections we need.
Lets have a section for what new section we need based on what truck we drive... and maybe refine that into colors of trucks !!!!

Didnt vote on the poll because didnt like any options. I say just leave as its been. As far as I can tell, there werent any complaints to begin with? Where did all this even start? Dont even make mods "copy" vids to the movie section... let the "poster" of the video do that. Its up to him. The video section is good to find vids that may have fallen back in the more popular sections... its up to the poster to "display his own work... just leave things alone and QUIT SCREWING WITH IT!!!

Seems like theres an "IF IT 'AINT BROKE.... FIX IT 'TIL IT IS!" philosophy going on here lately?
