What's the most protective, least sinky and smoky oil that won't gum up power valves?

We run Klotz in our sleds and not for the smell. It smells different, some people like it, some don't. One thing that we've seen to be irrefutable is the clean burning of it. No gummy valves even after 3,000 miles of trail burning - performs great in the mtn. sleds too.

i've been running injex-pro in 5 sleds for many years...never had a valve stick due to oil.....i've pulled valves out of a couple of rotax engines after 3000 miles just because i figured i should....they were functionally clean, not perfectly clean, but very little deposits and certainly nothing that would detract from performance.....

Blue Marble is your friend, no carbon anywhere, no residue on your bellypan, nice smell (the legs of my bibs have no odor like before), cheaper than synthetic, virtually no smoke after warmed up.

We have a new prodouct here in Sweden called Triboron, its not an oil at all but will lubricate the engine. They have proved hp-gains in dyno, and its completely smokeless.

Did not find anything in english but för those knowing how to read swedish, (dont you all? :) ), there is the swedish homepage www.triboron.se

I switched from Dominator to Cat APV this season, because I get it cheap.
I premix 40:1, and have noticed quite a bit of carbon buildup on my powervalves, as well as gummy residue. They were clean when I ran the dominator.

Switched to LEGEND ZX-2R this year. So far so good low to no smoke after warmed up and it smells good. I did a lot of research before switching. Some of the other oils listed did not do so well in the testing. Indy Dan had a good post on oils also. If you search hard enough you can find the test result's.

Napa 5W-30 is what I've been using lately. I've got the "03 leaky rings" oiler turned up so I'm going through a quart every 300 miles. No smoke and not too much smell, and I have 8900 miles on the engine without a rebuild. Keeping my fingers crossed, cause I dread tearing into this thing.

My new buddy, Spencer, is dumping his Ton for an M8. You must be on to something!!

Ride-on, Lee!!
