Snow Flake

Everyone seems to be suffering with heat and wishing the snow would return.
In 1971 We went every month of the year. In May there was still about 20 feet on Darland Mountain. In June there was 10+ feet in Blankinship meadows. You could ride a snowmobile over top of the Cabin. On the 4th of July we went to Miners Ridge on about 6 feet. Unloaded about 3 miles below Granite Lake. August we unloaded at Clover springs. Wasn't what you would call a long cross country trip but it was snowmobiling...I mean Ski Dooing. September 27th it snowed 3 feet on Miners Ridge. I took some pictures of the trail of holes about 6 feet apart that deer caught up there left when bounding through the deep snow to get to the low country. I told people they were sasquatch tracks. The Saquatch hunters got ahold of that rumor and ran with it. By Mid October we were unloading at Tree Phones with about 2 feet there and tons of powder up top.
Any other Washingtonians ever had a year like that? Glacier riding doesn't count, although we called the snow field that stayed at Clover springs for 2 and a half years a glacier.
