Whats the easiest to load a sled in the back of a truck?

Hmmmmm......

You may have a point there. ????

But at least mine are on wheels and add to the cyl index.
Much more than I can say about Clarks setup.
THAT would take some amount of dedication to pack along!

I made this deck. Covers the wheel wells. Room under for the tri-fold ramp as well as extra gear or 2 sets of skis / snowboards. Cut up bed-liner from the junk yard and riveted it to the ramp / screwed it to the ply deck. It folds back on 2 hinges when not in use so I can fold up the tailgate. Lick of paint to match the truck. Cheap and easy.

Go to Cabellas and but the longest trifold ramp they have. It is the cheapest place to get them. Set it against you tailgate and strap it down in the middle and the outside to the bottom of you bumper. Load up and off you go. I was loadin my 174 Nytro into a true short bed chevy like this for 2 months with no issues. Worked great. Just find and old bedliner to screw down to the ramp for your skis and your good to go.

Retracktable Ramps

This is probably more $$$ than you want to spend ($650) but thought I'd post a pic or 2 of my set-up.Might give you an idea or 2. I bought it online for my ATV and made my own plastic runners for sled use in the winter. The ramps bolt to the front of the box,and extend out 7 1/2 feet when the rear gate is down.

Tri fold with SuperGlides installed. Really light and portable. In the garage I have an electric hoist on the ceiling. Lift the sled with 4 straps and drive under it. That way I don't wake the neighbors.

i just built a single place sled deck to haul mine. leave it in all year and dont have to worry about people getting inside the bed to the cargo as i have a locking tailgate and if they can they have way to much time to waste to get a few tiestraps. and at the same time get better fuel mileage.

i bought an el cheapo alum. trifold atv ramp from princess auto for 50 bucks cut up a bed liner screw that down on each side for the skis. drive sled on fold up ramp and put that underneath the track of sled which takes weight off the tailgate since i have a 162 apex in a 5.5ft box f150. i unload and load my sled myself with little trouble.

Leave sled running this will help the sled move forward
stand between the skis
Grab ahold of each ski
lift each ski up on to the tailgate
grab back end of sled lift and push it in

also i'm 5'6" 180 pounds it can be done if your tough enough. although its also not that much fun when your tired as heck.
