What's Happening To Big Bores?

1200 on 12 pounds, yes it would be crazy but if you ride hard you could;nt even pack enough fuel for half a day.

I can't help but wonder if new technology is necessarily better. Getting the fuel mapping working properly does appear to be an issue when re-mapping a modified stocker. I know of one individual who had a M7 modded into a Cutler 1000. He was not happy with the tuneability of the Boondocker Box fuel injection. This particular individual loves to tune until things perform perfectly. He eventually went back to carbs and harris jets on his Cutler 1000. Is the mapping really that big of a hurdle?

Yes and no. You can only tune as good as the box (in this case with the BD box) Its alot of $$$ to do a good FMS and TONZ of know how and lots of trial and error.

It's good to see that some are still making an honest effort such as Carls Cycle and Crankshop. I'm not sure everyone would classify a 860 Dragon as a Big Bore but if they can get the 860 to run close to the 910 at least the "Fun Factor" will be there. I have a friend who is going to have an 860 built, it should be fun to mess around with next season.

I'm sure he'll do Nitrous also, otherwise I'll be able to beat him up with my Nitrous. I know him well enough to know he wouldn't stand for that kind of nonsense. There is the possibility though that he may be getting to old to really give a rats azz. I believe 50 is just around the corner:D:beer;:p
