Whats a loud can for a 2011 pro RMK 800

Wow.. You got all the knitting clubs opinions and I'm sure there exhaust is factory stock.. Mbrp is probably what your after.

You want loud??--- buy a monster truck. Loud cans close riding areas.

You want a good "tone" at idle?..... WTF for? So you look good in the parking lot, posing with your sled while its idling?

OP, I'm sorry, but you have hit a nerve. Before you go telling me you live in 'Murica where you can buy a loud can if you want to...... Look at the riding areas we had when you were FIVE years old versus now.

You want a loud exhaust note?....learn to sidehill left with rpm @8250-- the exhaust will be plenty loud.

Rant over-- let the flaming begin....

My thoughts exactly. Should be no flaming from the mature adults among us.

Loud exhaust (pseudo power) on a sled is for the "parking lot posers". It only says "look at me. . . im cool . . . right?" This is the reason why we are continually bombarded with those trying to close down our riding areas. What do you think their biggest complaint about snowmobilers is . . ? THE NOISE THEY MAKE!! Loud can.....BAD IDEA!!

Cheers!

Ok.... I'll take the bait.

Yep, my exhaust is stock. After 20+ years of participation in my knitting club-- I mean professional motorsports, including 5 years in the Motogp World Championship (motorcycle Roadracing World Championship) where the sound "limit" was 130Db. I don't need to be bombarded by raspy exhaust notes by parking lot poseurs.

There is a time and a place (closed course sanctioned competition) for free flowing exhausts--shared public lands where we are constantly scrutinized by the non-motorized public and Forest Service is not one of them.

You want to "sound" fast or badass in the parking lot?-- and some "knitting club" isn't going to stop you... Lame. The true "knitting clubs"-- Winter Wildlands Alliance, Snowlands, Sierra Club, et al, are already kicking your (and our) a$$ in the fight to keep public lands open, you just don't get it. I'd rather watch someone with a stock can ride a line like a badass-- sidehilling to the left @8250 rpm with the can exposed is pretty loud. Louder than a "loud can" at idle in a parking lot, louder than a "loud can" doing donuts in a meadow.

You can beat your chest all you want about living in 'Murica and doing what you want, but without responsible choices about how you ride, and active participation in public discussion with the Forest Service (or at least donating to a group like the Blue Ribbon Coalition) you will help contribute to the closing of more riding areas.

Don't be "that guy".

Murph, after meeting you last weekend, I can almost "hear" you saying that. LOL
Well put.

Like I said in a previous post, all of you guys who have or want loud cans please stay out of the state of Colorado. We are already under a noise limit regulation and we don't need you adding gas to the fire. We fight the granola eaters on a continual basis to keep riding areas open and like it was mentioned above we are getting our butts kicked - #1 complaint is noise, second is fumes. We are the bad guys in the general public's eyes not the non-motorized crowd and they have the upper hand. The chance of us ever getting to expand our riding areas is remote at best but the chance of losing additional areas is a daily concern.

Don't make it worse!!!! Be polite, stop being a parking lot poser and enjoy our public lands. We have a ton of great riding areas here in Colorado and I for one want to keep it that way! So yeah, I'm gonna challenge you in the parking lot and yeah I'm the guy who'll be rooting for you to get a ticket for that illegal can. I want to see my grandchildren be able to enjoy this sport too.

Is there a aftermarket exhaust that's not any louder than stock but lighter?

Personally, loud pipes annoy the $hit out of me.

And the guys are right, the people pushing to restrict our areas have bigger guns, let's not give them more ammo.

Quite a few actually. To name a few, Diamond S Pro Ti Quiet, SLP, Skinz has one, think it's the ultra Q or something like it.

I have the Diamond S Pro Ti quiet can and love it, 3lbs 4oz and NOT loud.

The Skinz Ultra Q is annoying as ****e. Had one on an XP shorty and I took it off after one ride.

Just put my Diamond S Ti Quiet can on tonight. Can't believe how close to stock sound levels are. AWESOME!!
