What Would You Purchase?

I have a little bit of $$$$ to spend at the end of the season and would to know what all my fellow snowestr's would do. I have a 2012 Pro RMK 163. Would you purchase some new front shocks specifically ZBroz Exit 1's or go with a little horsepower gain and purchase a HRP Can with a Power Addiction Head? I have reclutched and regeared the sled. I have not done anything to the rear skid, all stock. We are talking front shocks or HP gain. Not much trail riding but only to get to the higher hills. Ride the Washington Cascades.

Shocks for sure. The motor mod voids your warranty and puts even more stress on the cylinder skirts with higher compression = ticking time bomb. Now if you got corrected pistons (read - Kelsey's or Indy Dan's fix, among others), have at it. I can tell you I went with shocks and if you think your sled handles well now... just WAIT until you get some real shocks under her!

Have FUN!

Get the X1's. I have them on all four shocks on my Pro and it's amazing. The PA head is ok, but it doesn't impress me that much. Just better throttle response and mid range.

Shocks for sure, then move onto some HP increase if you don't mind voiding warranty.

Geez I guess if we admit we watched F troop we're kinda dating ourselfs. Weren't the directions to the indian village "turn left at big rock that looks like bear and right at big bear that looks like rock"

I would say go for shocks as well. I went Raptors and I am glad I did.
As for HP, I am not voiding my warranty. I am slowly losing trust in my sleds motor...pretty sure injectors are on their way out.

oh and a buddy had a PA head, just put 2 nice holes in his case. Oops.

Get Air Frame running boards. You won't believe how much more you like your Pro with them. I would get the Raptor triple rate springs for all 4 shocks now instead of just front shocks. Then get all four Raptor shocks when you can fit it in the budget. The Pro needs shocks, I think in the rear more than the front too. I wouldn't void the warranty on my Pro unless I was going the whole way like a turbo or stage 3-4 kits.

i'd also consider airframes like matte said just b/c they truly are that impressive.

as far as your original question goes i would first ask if you find yourself bottoming out all the time. if so then go with shocks. if not then i would go with the hp bump. although i would go with a pipe before just doing a head. i run both an slp single and the PA head on my 11 and noticed a bigger increase with the pipe than i did the head. although did but the pipe on first and have never ran the head without the pipe. if you go with shocks i would consider doing all four rather than just two. if i could only do to, i would do the rears rather than fronts. although not a blingy as the exits you might try talking to holz about their revalve and upgrade options. then you could do all four for the same or less than two exits depending on which option you go with. although a good resource, don't make your purchase decision based on only what you read on the internet. do some research and talk to the different manufacturers and you will be much happier in the long run. good luck

Save your money and trade in your 12 for 13. Better engine, Better sled. Put the PA head on. It rips!!
