What would you pay?

I am going to sell fire wood for a little extra cash this winter to help buy some goodies for the sled. I dont really need the money i just have some spare time that i do nothing with after work so why not make more money right. It will all be split and cut to whater lenght you want. i will also be willing to deliver within the area. What would you pay. What do you pay now?
I was thinkg of like half of what a guy pays now for it just so i get some people to buy.

mn covers anywhere from 70 a cord to 250 a cord...depends on the area and customer base.

I cut my own and cut extra for some extra cash too.

for everything except tamarack i sell for 125 a cord

tamarack sells for about 220 a cord. and thats split, delevered and stacked.

but everyone else around here sells fir ect. for 150 and tamarack for 250.

selling it cheaper gets you a repeat customer base, actually a waiting list cause i only cut so much extra per year.

it's not as much as i could make but after everything i put into it it still gives me some extra sledding gas and parts. so i am happy with it.

Prices are close to here in AK. Large range, but most around $200/cord

me too, and i have sold some for about $150/cord. split, but you have to come and get it! never had any complaints, cause i think i'm one of the cheaper guys in the area. so if you'r e gonna deliver AND stack it, go for at least $150!!!!!!!!!!

A friend of mine sells birch for $300 a cord delivered, not stacked. He has a waiting list too, dunno why his price is so far above average.

looking at the classifieds in the news miner, firewood is going from $250-300 a cord. I think the panic of the price of fuel oil this winter has driven lots of folks to go to wood.Been watching my neighbor install a huge outdoor burner for his house/shop complex, know a local contractor who brought up a semi-load of pellet stoves and he only had a couple left the other day.The wood cutters are just cashing in.
