Jen your girl did the exact right thing by keeping her wits, but do not give her a handgun until she's 21. She can take a shotgun to work but not a pistol.

A camera if there's a "next time" and bear spray in case Stiffler decides to get out of the car.

Oh, and talk her out of dousing someone with hot coffee unless it's self-defense otherwise she'll be the one facing assault charges.

Sorry to hear about this. Sounds like she did good but that would scare the hell of me if that happened to my girl. I think theres alot of good options here and if you find out who it is we might find some other options to help him with his lil problem. And I mean the legal way.

Sorry to hear about that, Jen. She did the right thing. I hope too that these stands can be locked up quick if something happens, you know? Bear spray is a good idea but I thnk only as a last resort as that can create a really bad revenge situation. Then it can get really scary. If he's sick enough to do that, he's sick enough to wait a week later til she gets off shift. Also I think her and these girls should consider getting dropped off/picked up at work or try to prevent association with their vehicle. I agree with you and others on here every stand needs a huge, noticeable survellience camera and 'smile, you're on camera' sign.

My ex use to work at a couple coffee stands alone and she kept pepper spray along with a whopping knife both within reach. I have no doubts she would have stuck someone in the head had they attacked her. A girl who's working alone is not going to get charged with anything if she feels the need to defend herself via hot coffee, pepper spray, knife, ect. Coffee stand attract creeps and I would be against my daughter working in one, but it's about the best paying part time job for someone that young so I understand. Tell her to apply at Jitters, they make good money and it's a much better environment.

If you want the cops to show up before tomorrow a gun needs to be involved, i.e. she needs to tell them she "thought" he had firearm, then they'll care.

A few thoughts.......... tell her to lock the doors when it's dark out... simple but effective.

Check online for registered sex offenders in the area (you said it happened before at the same stand) the guy is likely a local. The online sites usually have a picture along with address. If she finds / recognizes the guy go to the cops.

Pepper / wasp spray a good idea as well.

Theres an old addage that goes ........ "If you pack them in like rats they act like them." Its your typical 10% of jackasses....the more the population increases the more of these idiots you get. But she handled it in the right way. Its just too bad APD got all screwed up. Peckerheads like that need violated in the nearest jail.

That is totally messed up! Lex handled herself really well! If the situation or another similar arises, she could always take the largest, hottest, steamiest pot of scalding coffee and "accidentally" dump the entire thing in his lap! Whoops! That would get his attention for sure and and require a trip to the hospital which would enable you to identify the perpetrator.
