which would be better to put on a dragon to get rid of lean midrange pc3-5 or the boondocker fuel controller box

Boondocker can be tuned on the sled right on the box itself, Powercommander needs a laptop (or desktop) computer. The Powercommander is VERY easy to use and has very complete mapping and is my preference for sure. Generally once you get it set you are good to go so don't expect to be changing it constantly. If you need to constantly change your mapping you likely have other issues.
I have PCV and it has some nice options like autotune which boondocker does not have.
PCV FTW!

I think you will find the PCV to be the most popular option. You will surely find the most support and features with that system. Quite a few maps available out there and most of us are willing to share. I threw on an SLP map last season for lack of time to use the auto tune feature. I was extremely amazed at how well it worked without actually dialing it in.

I will agree with what has been said so far. The PCV in my opinion is the best option, hands down. Lots of add ons available for it, lots of maps, maps are easy to make and tune your self if you feel the need. But Generally you buy the PCV with map pre-installed, install it into the sled, (15 min tops) And your good to go. No tuning needed what so ever after it's installed. (unless you install engine mods that require different fueling) From what I know of boondockers controller that's not the case for them. I personally wouldn't buy anything but the PCV. I will adding EGTs to my sled so I can farther tune my sled to run at it's best, using the PCV.

I have a PC3 on my sled and you can do a little fine tuning with it on the sled. I think it will let you add or subtract 5% at low mid and high RPM ranges with the buttons on the box. Not to sure about the percentages or the PC5 but the PC3 can be tuned a bit in the field if needed, without hooking it up to a computer. I have never found a need to do this though, I'm happy with the map I got from Dynotech.

ive got a neighbor here that deals boondocker stuff he installs the turbos here in the valley for boondocker and he said that the control box with 02 sensor would be the best for around here since we have such a change in elevation where we ride

I run a Boondocker control box on mine with an OEM airfuel guage. Works great for me.
