This is gonna make you guys feel old :p

my first sled that was mine, my parents bought it for me in Christmas of 2001. It was a 2002 Arctic Cat Z 440. I was 13 years old.

the first sled i learned which i learned how to ride was 89 Polaris StarTrek 250. Then, dad bought a 79 El Tigre 340 when i was in kindergarten. Then sold it, got away from the sled scene for a few years then. then got back into in 6th grade, then the following year i got that 440. :)

1981 Kawasaki Invader 440, with no breaks.

ROFL... and you are still alive? My 2nd sled was a '79 invader... they were pretty fast, just heavy as hell and not so good in the powder. Couldnt imagine being on one with no breaks.

Once I was doing donuts in front my house when I was 17 or so... hit a dry spot while spinning out, sled hooked up and launched out from under me... I pulled both grips right off the bars :D

1967 Snow Cruiser
22 inch track, opposed twin. I think it weighed a ton, but for a ten year old anything that moved without pedalling was cool. Good thing it only went 25 mph. The old man sure spent alot of time fixing it but all the neighborhood kids got to ride it. I still thank him for that 40 years later.

Not sure what year, but really old Skidaddler, might have hit 10 mph and really easy to tip over. 1st nice sled, 1979 Gemini 250 Polaris, still have stored in the quonset. I rode quite a few of those John Deere sleds when I was younger also, those things ripped!

i think it was a 1976 john deere cyclone 440 it was either a 76 or 78 cant remember. It was a heavy old machine and man not much for suspention. But it would fly strait when i could get it off the ground

1981 Polaris 340 TXL Indy, I think it was the first year of no leaf spring front suspension, was fast for a 340 and handled really good. 2nd sled was a 1990 Mach 1 long track, absolute trajedy on snow, friends without sleds didn't even want to ride it.

My first sled was a 2016 Ski-Doo Summit. A little heavy back then at sub- 400lbs.

The first sled I drove was a 1979 Mercury 440, but the first sled I bought and was truly mine was a '96 Mach 1. It had the 670 and was 136". My dad had plenty of experience digging that thing out of the sh!t I got into. One of the many reasons I love him.
