WHAT TURBO KIT FOR THE PRO?

Turbo

Don't over look Twisted Turbo's Pro kit. Shain has the best artic cat turbo kit on the snow. He got that by day in a day out of R&D, and his artic cat turbos show that it has payed off in power and reliability. I talked to him yesterday and he has been testing in Canada on the new Pro since the first snow and says that the sled is great, add his turbo kit and it is the funnest all around sled to ride to date. Smooth power, lightweight boondocking chassis, and hit the flipper with a smile. It is to bad that I am riding a twisted cat and not the new pro.:face-icon-small-win

Pictures!, video!, information on what boost levels he is running on his kit and how it performs at those boost levels!
We know many of these guys have made good kits in the past. I'm not really looking to hear anyone else SAY "so and so MAKES THE BEST TURBO KIT ON THE SNOW". That's all opinion and just talk.
I think what some of us would like to see is video of (so and so's) Pro kit running on actual boost. Then maybe a short explanation of where they are at in the tuning process.
People were quick to jump on here, show pictures of their kits and make all sorts of claims about "best Pro Turbo kit on the market" and that was months ago. Now we aren't getting any actual information that we can use to make informed decisions.
I think the main reason most people on here will "overlook the Twisted Turbo kit", is the same reason they would overlook the others. And that is that none of them are giving us anything to remember them by right now. JMO

The turbo kits that are out there for the older models are working because they had time to make them right so its odd that you think everyone is just going to pull this one out of there as& in a matter of a few month's, grow up a little it doesn't happen overnight!! "obviously everyone is testing right now and to be honest no one is going to show a video of a sled that is not working well.

:pound: "grow up a little"??? Who would have thought making a comment about how it has gone quiet would draw such a response??
Asking for INFORMATION, pictures or video is by no means unreasonable. After all isn't this a link to a thread you began??
http://www.snowestonline.com/forum/showthread.php?t=234355
Your thread has gone quiet, no real information from you since the 13th of November. It makes some of us wonder what is going on??? Problems??? After the build up and the hype in threads like yours and others, they have all gone quiet, just like yours. To your credit, you were honest about the Pro not running. The other guys haven't been saying anything.
No one expects anyone to pull off a kit overnight. Many of y'all made it sound like great things were imminent more than a month ago, and now your not saying anything. We are simple asking what gives???

PRO

" Yes there are still problems with the pro " it seems to be detonating, sorry for the gap in information everyone that has built a kit for the pro is very focused on fixing this problem, it is very different than the dragon and may need some head work for it to work properly. Currently running 110 octane at 8 psi. I want nothing more than to post a video and say that its done.

Thanks for the info. It's pretty cool of you to post and update us even when the news isn't exactly what you would like right now. Your posts seem to be very honest which I think is good for you in the long run!
I have no doubt that when you say your kit is ready and ripping, it will do just that.

same here at turbo performance working very, very hard to finish up some last details that are just little head aches.

when your company name is on the line you try to hold some stuff in the shop. because there is alot of guys that just want to bash. it is eaiser to say our kit is finished and running great than it is to say we had this problem and that problem but know we have them fixed.

it just scares to many people. :tape2:

please just hold on. things will start breaking loose very very soon. if you want some answers just ask very specific question and you will be suprised what info you will get.:thumb:

thanks

Those of you going with boondocker will be very pleased. I rode with Jared sessisons for a little this past weekend in alpine and theyre turbos were spot on. No doubt the best option out there. They have spent a lot of time on their turbo pros and those sleds are dialed! You won't be disappointed

I cant really say if its true or not but if I was Boondocker and I had the PRO dialed I would have plenty of video out there to back it up, the video that is available is horrible. JMO

I gotta say, I rode with silber sunday in west jellystone. He had 2 of the new sleds out workin on gettin them running right. The one was just having stupid issues, the blow of valve flange was stripping out and it fell out when riding, so no boost, the worst part was it was on a $$$ BOV, so not a design issue, just a sorta bad part received.. the other sled ran pretty damn good all day. had a minor fueling inconsistency on transition into boost. very rideable already, the box just needs a little map adjusting it seems to get it so the fueling is totally dialed, then it should rip. the sled was VERY impressive on the lower boost running 7#.

I have to give props to Justin and those helping him testing/building, they are putting in the work and getting the little details ironed out now. putting miles on the sleds and seeing what stupid little parts are gonna be an issue and dealing with them before a kit is released.

Inked Rider,

I agree with you on the lack of video and factual updates..in fact I think I helped start this debate..

Your candor on your previous post regarding detonation issues was very informative and dealing with a manufacturer like yourself make a lot of sense...none of the usual BS

Just picked my pro up from boondocker today. It is very clean install. The service there was great. I hope this setup runs as well as it looks.:face-icon-small-hap
