What Tracks is everyone useing?

Hey. What type of snow works best for the Revs? Currently have a 159 xrs track. Find it trenches too much.
What's the best track for wetish snow conditions? Challenger?
What about changing driver pitch and running a powdermax2 off a new xm?
Thank
Harry

also running 159 iceage rails and a 9" big wheel kit, wheels are at back of rails. should i find a 154 track?

Challenger extreem with avid drivers eh.
Any mods with chaincase?
What about the orgional challenger 2.31 paddle with stock pitch?
When changing drivers, do the drivers just press on and off, any special tools other than a press required in changing the drivers?

no mods to chain case. with your 159 track and 9in wheel kit a 162 fits ez. did it to my rev. 2.89 drivers for 2.5in lug
the stock 2.3 track can be swapped with a 2.5 challenger.
As winterbrew pointed out about changing to 3.0 pitch drivers for a 3in lug.
Assuming the original drivers were in the correct position....

Remove both plastic end caps. Twist the cap WITHOUT the speedo magnets out first with some channellocks....that way you can push out the other ( speedo) end cap from the inside with less risk of damageing the more expensive speedo end cap.
Place the shaft on a flat plate and measure from the end of the shaft to the center of the driver tips....write these down...also the distance between the 2 driver tips to double check the position of the new drivers.
Press them both off.
The plastic tool goes over the end to guide the driver over the sharp edge of the shaft.
Make sure to time the drivers the same...they should be marked.
I have an insert that goes in the end of the driver to press on, but use a piece of aluminum plate or something to protect the splines from the press.
I have a steel plate with a hole a little bigger than the shaft to support the drivers....you need to press on the drivers close to the shaft, not at the outer edges so they don't distort.
You want the driver tips to be at the same measurements as stock....unless they are the new goofy looking cat style drivers, in that case you have to measure differently and line them up with the inner lugs.
Take your time and analize it before you start....it'sa lot of work to re-do if they are off by even a little bit.
Don't forget the bearing plate!

Hope that helps and makes some sense....tough to put into words.

is a challenger 2 recomended? or is the challenger extreem THAT much of a better track to change the drivers out?
Thanks for the steps on the driver change.

With going to smaller drivers, my back axle is almost at the back of the rails. Im thinking the 162 might be too much.

I put 8in boggies with a mountain machine freedom axle w/offset adapters. up and back
then went to stock 2.86 pitch xp 8 tooth anti ratcet drivers with the 162 2.38 challenger. I still have room for adj. 2.5 lug might need a 7 tooth.
2007 summit x 159

ok you had an offset axle. i have a straight axle. theres the difference, I have room to move forward. I think ill go with a 154 hence the smaller driver.
so all i need are Avid 7 tooth drivers, and a 154 CE track.

If your going to buy a camo extreme track, you can get that in a 156" 2.5" lug track, that might work out for your adjustment.

I had a 07 XRS..... Took off the stock track,,,, at mile 1. The 162 Mavrick is an the best track for that sled... Very fast in the meadow,, Very good in the DEEP..
