I've tried Slydogs, Simmons Gen 1's, Gen 2's, Stock, and Pilots. I hated the Gen II's, worst ski ever built IMO. I liked the Pilots, Slydogs and didn't mind the Gen 1's. The Gen 1's are good on the trail and work great for digging the sled in on a side hill/carving. I am running the Pilots on my new Apex, I think they work great in the powder and for boondocking. Good ski all around.
