What to expect?

We have a group of 4 heading out to Crooked Creek area (there or Line Shack) end of Feb. I've been to Cooke 5 times. I don't need extreme steep but like to challenge myself at times, deep pow is more important than vertical steep. We looked at Tog. but it seemed too pricey. How far will we have to ride to the good stuff from Crooked Creek area? How will it compare to Cooke, Snow depth and terrain? Heading out from Twin Cities would like to hear from people that have been to either or both. Thanks Jeff.

the owner of crooked creek is really nice guy havent stayed there but have talked with him before. its like 10 miles north of togwotee. you should have plenty of snow this year. there ahving a record year with snow reports say 60" of powder in hills.

snowy

I just got back from the snowy it was unbelieveble they had 160 inch so far broke every record had 14 inch the second day powder is invrebile and plenty of hills to climb I would highly recommend going here

Check out the sawmill. I have stayed there and crooked creek. One good thing about staying on the pass is checking out all three lodges. Very nice to have a choice of food and drink. You will have to ride a few miles to get to the better stuff. I think tog is about a 45 mile run. It is worth the trip to check it out and play along the way. Another good area is three waters. I have always found good snow there.
