What sled should I buy ?

Looking to upgrade. So what should i buy
I found these 2 sleds that are about what I can spend and what I am looking for
1- 2006 M7 LE 162 with a cutler 870 kit. 700 miles on sled total. Boss seat fox floats looks VERY nice
2- 2008 XP X It was a hill climb race sled. I am really not afraid of race sleds. I raced for years and know that when you race them you really take care of them.
They are both the same price. I love my KING cat, LOVE the bottom end torque. I have ridden both the m series and the xp and I feel more at home on the xp. I know everybody says the m is the best chassis on the snow so I guess I would get used to it.

personally i would go with the m7 because that is what i would have the best luck with. I've had to rebuild to many ski doos!!!!

If you're already more at home on the XP than go with what you're comfortable with. Don't make your decision based on what others say is the "best ride".

And I'm an M7 rider, so this is totally unbiased! Good luck

I said go with the xp, you like it more, its 2 years newer, and you never know about reliability on a sled that has been bored that big.

xp should be more reliable. I have never seen many big bores that didn't have problems. Listen to what people say but, ultimately, buy what you like. Don't let anyone pick your sled.

opinion

rode a friends 2011 M8 last weekend. keep your King until you can get an '11 M8!
I'm keeping my 04 mountain cats until I can get one or a 2011 M1....in about 2 years when I can buy them used!

Unless you're pressed to buy something right now, keep the King.
However...
870 is a GREAT motor. Lots of fun and what the M should have been from the start.
The Summit, what's all done to it? '08 had a lot of problems that reflected across the whole line. Make sure it's tip top and runs good.....I'd go XP personally.....but that 870 sure is fun!

I think you made the right choice I had an 05 King until I bought an 07 M6 for the wife. After a couple of days riding the M6 I bought an M8 for myself.
I loved my King Cat but I have never been sorry I boughtthe M8
I will buy another M8 when this one becomes unreliable.
Or... Maybe rebuild to CPC 870? LOL
You will love it.
