What skis are the best for an 01 Summit 700

I have a 2001 Summit 700 with the original skis on it. Well, they stink and in deep snow they just sink and just push through the snow instead of float. My buddie has an identical 800 with simmons skis on it and they work great, I was just wondering if Simmons are the best for the money or wht would work the best. Any suggestions would be greatly helpful in my decision.
Thank you

Simmons on my 02 worked great. Their flex saved my T-arms on a regular basis.

When I sold the 02 I installed them on my 04 REV.

Lots of choices...

Best powder ski in my opinion are MODS, but if you tend to hit stuff you may be better off with Simmons / Powder Pros / C&A's, etc. The aluminum bridge on the MODS don't like impacts too much. My second choice on that sled was the Pilot 6.9's from the 06 / 07 Rev. Nice light feel, could take a hit, and were "ok" on the ride to the alpine.

I just put 6.9's on my 01' and love them! Made the biggest difference! Floats awesome, doesn't do a whole lot of darting, and were pretty cheap. Overall, really happy with them!

I had Simmons on my 2000 700, slightly modded Summit Highmark for a short time and really didn't like them much. They seemed to push too much in the corners even with all the ski pressure I could muster! I even had the longer, HPG take apart shocks for more pressure.
I went to Powder pro's in the last year I owned that sled and LOVED THEM !
I kept the skis when I sold the sled and I have them on my Rev now.
