What should the max rpms be on 670? 500? 700?

Got a few guys going up with us next weekend on some older sleds, and I thought I would figure out what rpms these guys should be running at. One is an 98-99? summit 670, the other a 00-01? summit 500, and then an 02 700 summit. Not sure on the exact years, just the motors, and all bone stock. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just replaced my tach and speedo, speedo dosn't work but the tach usually says between 5-6K just trail riding (usually 20-35mph). This year ive gotten it up to about 7500K mabey 8K. But, i'd like to know that real answer to this question...

Yep, what WB said. Manual says max power at 7700 rpms, but with the stock tack you could be out a couple hundred rpms + or -. I keep it at 8100 for my pipes but that is where they make peak, stock is a little lower.

Thanks a lot fellas. Figured none of them could be far from 8000. I know one guy thought we was running at 7200 and said the sled ran great. We'll up and see what he thinks then.

Matt, I believe my 99x, as a new setup and delivered by Yoemans, clicker #5, runs around 8100, stock.

My 95 670, for comparison, runs at 7800, stock.

Maybe we'll see you out there.
