What should my clutch engage at?

i have a 97 polaris super sport 488 fan, im pretty sure its a comet p 85 clutch. anyways i was wondering at what rpms should it engage at, and what should it top out at, currently its engaging around 3600 and topping out at around 67-6800 rpms. is it unique for every sled or something? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

Yeah, it is unique for each model of sled, but that is low for your super sport. If memory serves it should engage around 4500 rpm and run out at 7800rpm.

I would bet you need to have the clutches serviced and probably need the springs replaced. They sack out over time and even break causing low RPM problems. Do you have a good shop close by? Have them do a full clutch service.
