What should I know about buying a 2007 M1000?

Wow!!! That sounds like an amazing deal. With that good of a deal you might as well just go for a turbo and deal with the weight!

Ok, I went and looked at this sled last night and it looks to me like it's in pretty good shape ..

2007 M1000 162", regular edition (non Sno-Pro)
1268 miles
66 hours
2009 updates done (heat shield, ECU reprogramming, not sure what all else this entailed but it was done at the local cat dealership)

Holz rear skid with Fox Zero Pros sprung for a heavy rider (+++ for me)
Holz 41" A-arms
Slydog Skis (barf I know but I would have replaced the stock skis anyway)
Boss Seat

The guy is asking $6500 for it. The motor is bone stock.

That seems to me like that's a reasonable price, maybe not a screamin' deal but not a bad deal. What do you all think?

Dog, the question is it worth it to you?

I paid $4000.00 for a 153 sno pro M1000 last year with 850 miles on it.
I'll have $1800 into it this year stretching it to a 162 2.5 Camo Exreme with a 09 float rear suspension.

KSH

I wouldn't go with a CE unless I had more than 200hp and climbed shoots, or lived in ice snow conditions.

$6500 is a bit high.... $5500 seems about right ... maybe I'll hold off on this, haha

Personal preference, I don't like the braking of the stock or PowerClaw tracks.
As far as the Extreme in pure powder, if by chance on one of my trips west if all I find is bottomless powder, I'll just have to suffer:D

Understandable.
I have found the braking is barely better, but with the PC if you lock it up it sucks, it has to slowly turn to get bite.

You could get a A20 for cheap and bring it with you, then there wouldn't be suffering.
