While out riding yesterday, I had the pleasure of fouling a plug in my RX-1 T. Are you guys running iridiums? It had the stockers in it and was fine until it finally crapped out after chopping the throttle. Thanks, John

Stockers gaped .020 thou, holding a spark at 20 psi.
Same, Dave at Powderlites says it works better withthe stock plugs just gapped closer.

Just put in new stockers, guess what, no miss anymore, for a while it sounded like a Nitro. LOL

why .020, anyone have a reason or what it does? i changed mine this fall and gaped to stock setting guess i need to pull them.

It depends on how much boost you are running. When you are running 18+ if you don't gap them down to .20 you are likely to blow out spark.

My newly boosted Apex (~12 lbs) ran like crap, tried all sorts of things and nothing worked. Ran across a thread with a formula for as you increase boost you need to decrease the gap by a certain amount. Long story short...pulled the plugs and gapped them down to .20 and it made all the difference in the world. Just pissed me off that I wasted all that time tinkering with everything else when it was really such a simple fix.
