What kind of backpack do you wear?

I quite like my Ogio though it's the only backpack I've ever worn. It's got a place for shovel and probe. It's big enough to pack a pile of crap, has a soft pocket for camera, sunglasses, cellphone, whatever. Quality seems quite good, good materials, good fit. Had it for about 3-4 years now and it's in good shape, no rips or threads coming loose.

HMK Pack. Its no ABS, but it holds my stuff, and seems to keep my shovel handle nice and tight (others have had problems) this may be because I have a BCA shovel which has an oval tube...

ABS Vario 22 liter. Previous to the ABS (which is new to me), I had the Dakine. I also carry an extra BRP stock backpack stapped to my tunnel with a second shovel, spare belt, water and :beer;

I like my Ogio Patrol Pack, but next year I'll be lookig at an avy airbag system, like ABS. I'll see what is available when I can throw down $1000. for a backpack. Just use it one time though, and it has paid for its self. Hell, If you never have to use it, it has paid for its self by just being there.

What do you all Carry in you packs?

I've got my GPS with radio, TP, wet wipes, hand and foot warmers, light sticks, pen light, flares, probes, first aid, survival blanket water proof matches, fire starters, cell phone, xbalm, thermometer, lunch. Believe it or not It's pretty light, but if I had to stay overnight I would be alright.

I've found that fluids are heavy, and I eliminated them from my backpack, and put them in a trunk pack. Shovel is under seat. I'd like to carry it on me, but I've caught it on branches. gotta get a different shovel. :)

I just picked up a Black Diamond Avalung backpack from REI.

I believe it was $249 or something like that. It holds all my stuff very comfortably and I'm hoping it gives me an extra 30 minutes or so if I were ever buried under the snow.
