what is the better belt

Is this belt even worth it on a stock 06 Crossfire 700 with the 10.4 clutch conversion on it? I do need a new belt if that makes a difference.

that's an 036 right? I think you can get those belts for pretty cheap (or with the 10.4 is it an 046?)

Either way, if you don't want to mess with clutching, the improvement is minimal if you don't have a belt eating sled.

I think you'd be able to get 046's pretty cheap now, unless you're going to use the warranty on the carlisle, I can't see it being worth it.

Ill give my .02 on the 060 vs 046. I run a speed sensor on the driveshaft with playback and I definately get more consistency from the 046. It does better with back to back pulls. The 060 is good for a drag race, but will not take alot of heat for long. Half the 060 will be left on your clutches not to mention they grenade fairly easy once they are heat soaked. I put about 1000 miles on each and I will no longer buy the 060 for any reason.
 
what kind of rpm's are you peaking at with the 817 belt? on a M8?

i have blown my share of belts on my 09m8 running the 046 belts, i would like to think i just push them to hard and not allow them to cool down.
my sled runs around 8000-8100rpm the sticker on the chart by the clutch says optimum rpm is 7600-7800???

keep in mind i have the slp pipe kit and bdx airbox.

am i over reving????
