Howdy. There is no wording on the instructions about narrow or wide stance.
I polled many customers asking about narrow/center/wide position. The narrow position was overwhelming. It was assumed one would use narrow or wide. But, if one wants to run on center, no problem. The sides of the spindle rubs on the outer horns, but has no affect on the damper performance. On center, the spindle pushes down on the center of the damper, dissipating inputs right into the ski plate.
